2009 PTI Anniversary Set....SPOILER ALERT, CLOSE IF YOU WANT TO

Everyone's been awaiting the new 2009 Papertrey Anniversary Set. It's such a fun set to play with. It's called Round & Round and I have some fun cards and projects for you today.

First off, I have a fun gift idea to share. Today I'm also introducing my new Pretty Paper Pouches in my Etsy shop. They may sell out fast but I will making these regular items in my shop. In the Pretty Paper Pouch, I've tucked in a pretty card and 2 gingham fabric swatches for a crafty friend. Such a pretty little gift, don't you think? Notice how the card becomes an interactive part of the pouch...I adhered the label part of the card with pop dots only on the top of the label.....this allows the label peek out over the Pretty Paper Pouch.
I tied my Pretty Paper Pouch up with two shades of Wrinkle Ribbon from my Etsy shop. A tied vintage button and a tiny shipping tag with a crafty sentiment finishes off the gift ensemble. I'll be carrying the vintage dyed tags in my shop too. They make the perfect addition to the Wrinkle Ribbon.
Here's a full view shot of the pretty card. I used Papertrey's new label die to stamp my focal pieces on. Nichole was super smart and made the images fit onto this label.
The patterned papers are from The Girls' Paperie collection. So soft and sweet. All of the polka dot stamps you see are from Round & Round also.
The Round & Round set has lots of whimsical circle images like the one shown below....and they all fit into the dotted, scroll like frame. Nichole also combined some beautiful fonts for all the sentiments. You won't be disappointed.
Here's a second grouping of cards I made using the Round & Round set.
I love the combo of Papertrey patterned papers on these....Green Boutique, Green Tea Leaves and the grid line paper. Hawaiian Shores ribbon and ink compliment it all so well.
I hope you enjoy the sneak peeks. I'll have some of my Etsy shop goodies up later today.

FYI: I know you all have missed my blog posts. Right now, my life is stress filled to the max. My brother is in the hospital in critical condition and we wait for each phone call to hear of his progress. My mother has severe arthritis in her back and I spent the entire two weeks that my dad was in Germany taking her to doctor/chiropractor appointments, fixing her meals, etc. She is making progress in tiny baby steps. My girls have two all day track meets each week this month. So if I am gone for a long stretch, it is what it is. Please don't feel neglected if I don't return your personal emails about if I'm okay and where are my blog posts....it just means I simply don't have the extra time and that I'm spending time with my family....or sitting in a corner in the fetal position, rocking back and forth. ;) I'll be back when I can friends. Thanks for all of your nice comments.

Your cards and ideas are wonderful, yet again. Your blog is the first I visit everyday but you and your family must come first - we all understand that. If you dont take care of YOU who will take care of them. Hope your Brother and Mum feel much better soon. Thinking of you, sending a big hug.
Take care and see you and your amazing creations soon.

Mish,

At high stress times like you're going through, have learnt the hard way that YOU have to look after yourself first. Give yourself five or ten minutes at some stage each day - it's vital for your well being.

Thinking of you,
Deirdre
