Friends are the joy of life card..

Hey friends, today I have another card from my June Papertrey release projects to share with you. I created a whimsical, colorful card using Lisa Johnson's new Flutterfy Friend stamp set.

Using my mixy matchy style of selecting patterned papers, I used FIVE patterns on this one card.
I used my Copic sketch markers to color the adorable butterfly images, then finished them off with Glossy Accents and a small epoxy clear dot on the smaller butterfly. The sentiment was stamped on a Fillable Frames #5 die and then stamped with Pine's new Mini Scrapbook Series: Library Ledger stamp. I finished the card off with some Summer Sunrise Ribbon tied off with a snippet of my Wrinkle Ribbon.
Here's the Copic sketch colors I used for my butterfly images.
Hope you enjoy!
P.S....have you ever seen The People of Walmart photos? Well yesterday the girls and I got an up close and personal experience with about 100 or more of those people. As we had a cart loaded full of groceries, the tornado sirens went off at our Walmart. We had to be corralled like cattle back into the shipping area. It was hot and crowded.......cell phones were buzzing everywhere.......Jordan was scared and crying and biting her fingernails back and forth like an electric typewriter.........I got to stand next to the family with no teeth and BO like you wouldn't believe. Then there was the lady with the swim suit coverup. It should have been called the un-coverup. Gross. People. Please start dressing up when you go to Walmart.

Yes! I've seen those People of Walmart photos and they're hilarious. I always wonder where in the world these people come from and if they look in the mirror before they leave the house. Some are funny, some are gross and some are beyond bizarre. How unfortunate for you that you got to experience it up close and personal!

Love the card! See you at CHA! :)

Oh dear! I can't even imagine the fright that sight has left you with!!! Adorable card. Hilarious (except for the tornado warning) story. You crack me up! I agree...wear some decent clothes and shower daily people!! Why is that so difficult for some people to understand?

Yikes! So glad I don't live in a place where tornadoes happen! Give me a good CA earthquake any day!

Funny how no matter where you go ALL Wal Marts have the same kind of people! You sounded like you just walked in to my Wal Mart! Love your card! Looking forwards to my new PTI goodies to show up to start playing!

Thanks for saying what *needed* to be said...unfortunately, I doubt that the people who need to see it are reading your wonderful blog! Thanks for your phenomenal art and the giggles! And how appropriate is this after Joan's comment - my verification word is peedi!

What a beautiful card!

My husband checks that site everyday when he gets home from work, and I can tell exactly when because he will be laughing so loud from the other room :)

Another great card! I'm glad your family. I am laughing so hard, because although I wasn't there, I could visualise it all! Thanks for the good laugh!-Rosie

I'm less and less likely to shop at WalMart. There are several different blogs posting about this and postings on Facebook have been hilarious. On a better subject love the card and I'm anxiously waiting for my Papertrey delivery.

I am rolling!! People should dress up ANY TIME they leave the house. I do not have WalMart, but the grocery store. Saw a lady whose shorts were WAY too small, and not flattering. Outside saw a guy with shorter hair, except for the back bottom section was long. And he was wearing sweat pants and scratching his behind INSIDE his pants! Seriously poeple!!

Your card is beautiful...more poeple should look like your cards! :D ♥ have a great - Walmart Free - day!!

So funny. You should see the people in the little town where we have a vacation cabin. No one has teeth. I broke one while we were there once and I had to drive 100 miles to get it fixed. Glad it all turned out ok, poor Jordan.

I agree with Alyssa-just spent an hour on the People of Wal-Mart site. I blame you and I will tell my husband that it's your fault when he asks why I didn't clean house :-)

How scary for you and the girls! (Both the tornado siren AND the freaky people!!!)
I just read Nicole's post about CHA and saw that you will be there. I would LOVE to meet you, as you just seem so fun and uber-talented, but I'm out in California and won't be able to go. So bummed! Have a wonderfully blessed time!

Yes, people of Walmart = Hilarious. Only because it's true... having been validated by your personal experience. Bathing suits are for swimming, PJ's are for sleeping. Nuff said :)

LOL @ the people of Walmart photos. But I have seen them before. I hate you had to experience such..punishment. Your work is beautiful.

Usually for an ego boost I make a trip to Wal-Mart and come out feeling soooooo much better about myself!! ;-) Poor Jordan to be exposed to that at such a young, impressionable age! I hope this won't ruin her for life. It truly is amazing that people actually leave their homes looking like that. Now that I think of it, it truly is amazing that people own those kinds of clothes to even put on in the first place! You're always good for a chuckle or two, Mish!

Wow, glad you are okay. Loved your Walmart people description. It reminds me of a favorite quote, "It takes all kinds, and they're all here." Very pretty card.

That's scary about the tornado siren! I probably would have been crying too!

I live in a rural area and Wal-Mart is just about it around here unless you drive into the city, so we get all kinds of interesting people at our Wal-Mart. I once saw a guy who was lobster red with black hair and a goatee. I called my husband and said, "I just saw the devil at Wal-mart!"

perhaps you should stop shopping at walmart, or should I say whitetrashmart.

Michelle...You are way too funny about the Walmart people. The sad part is that those videos are real and when you go to Walmart you get the real life experience.

Great card!

Very pretty card...I love the paper you chose. I need to get better at using a variety of printed papers. Our tornado sirens went off 6 times last night (southern MN) so I know what you mean...fortunately, we were not at Walmart. : ) Thanks for sharing the inspiration.

THAT IS HYSTERICAL about your trip to WalMart. It's why I avoid that place like the plague. But it is TOTALLY something that would happen to me on the 3 times a year that I DO go to WalMart. HEE HEE...Someone's got to lead the freak parade...and that parade usually starts at WALMART!!!

This is so funny to read tonite! I took my mom grocery shopping tonite and she asked if we could go to K-Mart next door for a minute; I looked down at my white jean capris and saw that I had gotten them a little dirty when I put the groceries in the trunk; I said to her, "Ma, I can't go into K-Mart looking like this!!!"; come to think of it, I had to choose a different line at the store because I couldn't 'bare' to stand behind the woman whose sweatpants were a lil too low; "just say no" to 60 year old crack!!! ewwwww!
