Tiny Treats

Nichole's new set called Tiny Treats is the perfect stamp set for creating Valentine treats. The image I chose to use for my project is the cute little pencil and paper image along with the coordinating sentiment *you have the write stuff*. This stamp set contains lots more little images and sentiments that fit into the fun label stamp. The possibilities are endless!

For me, Valentine's Day brings back memories of creating Valentine gifts from construction paper, scissors, glue, glitter, sequins or whatever we had on hand in the craft box. Today, we have such an endless supply of paper crafting supplies that it's better than ever for us crafty girls.

For my Valentine treats, I chose to make some fun notepads with matching pens for my girls. They're always making lists of their homework assignments, things they need to bring to school, favorite songs they want to download for their Ipods, etc.
I used Pine's new Simple Valentine patterned paper to decorate the front of my Kraft covered lined notepads. For the main images, I stamped the circle label image from Tiny Treats onto a Papertrey lined recipe card. The sentiment was stamped within the lines provided on the label image. For the paper and pencil image, I stamped them onto cardstock, colored them with Copic Sketch markers to match my patterned paper and then punched them out with circle punches.
The bottoms of my notepads were embellished with tied Vintage Buttons in various pinks, pink heart sequins from my stash, pink grosgrain ribbon and cardstock punched with a border punch.
For the inside of the notepads, I created a to/from circle embellishment using another image from Tiny Treats, and some heart stamps from Pine's new Simple Valentine set.
For packaging, I tucked the notepads, pens and a pack of gum into a large glassine sack, folding the excess around the back of the notepads. Pretty Papertrey ribbon ties up the packages.
Come Valentine's Day, I think I'll tuck the packages into a large heart tin and fill it with other candies and goodies for the girls. Fun little gifts the girls will love!
And here's a non-Valentine card I made using more images from Tiny Treats. I stamped the label image, the limes (or could be lemons or oranges) and the sentiment onto Kraft cardstock. I stamped a dotted circle image from Borders and Corners: Circles and then stamped out the main image with a larger Marvy circle punch.
I created a small square card with matching stamped envelope, using Turning A New Leaf patterned paper and tied Vintage Buttons. This will make a perfect little card to leave for Eric.

I would leave this pad sitting on my desk looking pretty, but never touch a page. I think it has something to do with the hoarding complex and not wanting to give up the best things.
