Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather

Edit: Thanks for all the nice comments. :) Five new colors of Wrinkle Ribbon and a Winter Crafting Kit are now up in my Etsy shop. Enjoy!

Hi friends. Today I am sharing some projects that I created for my Cosmo Cricket Guest Designer spot. I'm using the adorable line called Mitten Weather. Totally suitable because it's definitely getting to be mitten weather around my neck of the woods.

For my projects, I created some of my Pretty Paper Pouches and have stuffed then with cute litlte journals and notecards. They're fully embellished with goodies to match the purples, reds and frosty blues of the Mitten Weather collection of papers, stickers and chipboard accents.

My Pretty Little Pouches (coming to my Etsy shop soon) are all wrapped up with Wrinkle Ribbon and have a Dainty Little Doily tucked over the pocket. Glittery chipboard accents that have been adorned with tied buttons rest on top to create a chilly feel.
Small Metal Rim Tags are tied to the Wrinkle Ribbon with purple twine.
This pocket uses some red accents and Wrinkle Ribbon.
The Cosmo Cricket chipboard accents are so easy to work with. They are adhesive backed so all you have to do is peel and stick. Red Baker's Twine was used to attach the circle tag to the Wrinkle Ribbon.
Here are the journals that are tucked inside the paper pockets. I kept the embellishments simple so that these could be tucked into a tote without getting scuffed up too much.
My Medium Purple Parcel Tags coordinate perfectly with the purples in the Mitten Weather collection of papers. I used a label stamp and die and adhesive paper to make a sticker and then stamped it with sentiments from the Get to the Point stamp set. The *things to do* sentiment was stamped on additional patterned paper and cut with notches to add a fun accent. Vintage Buttons were used to accent a Small Clothespin covered with purple flock.
The journals were created with sheets of graph paper, some vintage ledger papers, and a piece of Mitten Weather patterned paper for the cover. The finished size of the journals is 5.5" x 8.5. Simply stack the papers together and stitch down the middle with your sewing machine. Cute stickers liven up some of the inside pages.
I also made a small notecard for each pocket. These use Papertrey's Kraft envelopes and were adorned with Dainty Doilies cut in half, a PTI sentiment and more of the chipboard elements.
Cards go together really quickly when use the Cosmo chipboard elements. Simply add patterned paper to the card front then add chipboard tags that have been tied with Wrinkle Ribbon and red baker's twine.
I added glitter to the tags for a little winter sparkle.
Perfect little cards that can be used for thank you notes, Christmas cards, etc.
A FUN little pocket of goodies that the recipients will LOVE to receive.
Thanks for stopping by. Check out the Cosmo Cricket blog to see the other Design Team members projects.

Note: Ellen Hutson has a great selection of Mitten Weather and other Cosmo Cricket products at her shop HERE.

Note: I will have some Wrinkle Ribbon that coordinates with the Mitten Weather collection in my Etsy Shop soon. Also, I've created a few fun kits that would go well with the Mitten Weather goodies too. Enjoy!

Oh my gosh, this is all so beautiful and the attention to detail is amazing. Cosmo Cricket is so lucky to have you this month. My plan today is to spend it making Christmas notepads to give to my friends the week of Thanksgiving and make Christmas tags. It's snowing here in my part of TN (was upper 70's and sunny last weekend) this morning so it gets me in the mood to stay in and create. Thank you for taking the time to take photo's and walk us through your creative process.

Mish, sorry to post here but can't find the post I'm looking for or the measurements. You used to do your notebooks as junior legal sized notebooks and you had the measurements for the cover on here... somewhere.. in your massive blog posts. Can you send me a direct link to that? My email addy is fourgr8kids@gmail.com. Thanks! Hope you know what I'm talking about! Judy

What cute projects. So glad to see these little bag pouches; I've been in love with them and these are especially great with the Mitten Weather paper. I always enjoy coming to your blog to check out your inspiration stations; I unearthed my grandma's mini jello molds to use for buttons after seeing yours. You are such an artist; thanks for sharing! Are the bags you used lunch sack size or mini bags?
