Bingo Thank You Card

Hi everyone. I'm back from CHA with my little family. I had a great time meeting all of you....Papertrey fans are the best! Thank you for all the kind words and little gifts. The month of August is going to be super duper busy for me so I just wanted to give you a head's up that my postings may be fewer this month. I have my August PTI box waiting for me and this month's release is going to be super spooky! I can't wait for you to see the new goodies. Also, on Wednesday I am going in for some surgery. I am having my gallbladder removed after having several months of of painful episodes and issues. Hopefully the recovery time will be minimal and I'll feel much better soon. Vacation comes after that for a week, then school shopping for the girls and school starts at the end of the month. So bear with me as this month will be a whirlwind of activities. September will bring a new routine and I'll be having lots of new Etsy items and fun posts. My Etsy shop shipping schedule is back on track now too. :) Stay tuned for fun stuff.

Today, I have another goody from this month's Papertrey release. This card was created with Dawn's new It's Official stamp set.
I combined lots of stamped elements to make some fun embellishments. Love that little bingo card with all the mixy matchy buttons.
Tiny Tag is from my Etsy shop....love them tied to ribbons.
Gotta run to some pre-op doctor's appointments and restock the pantry. Thanks again to everyone who traveled to see us at CHA. Welcome to all the new Papertrey customers and happy stampin'!

Wow, that is a schedule! Be sure to give yourself enough time to recover. Sometimes we push ourselves too soon and too hard and then take longer to recover.

It was so nice meeting you at CHA!!! I have had my gallbladder taken out too. The only bad part is the drive home because movement makes you feel sick. You'll be just fine!!!!!

This card is lovely. The soft colors 'speak' to me...and the little tag down at the bottom? What a fun touch! Best of luck with your surgery and making it through the rest of your crazy month!

Love all of your creations!!! Your style really speaks to me, and I check your blog almost daily!Good luck with your surgery. Be sure to give yourself adequate time to recover - even after the pain is gone, you'll tire out easily for a while. It's a good excuse to play with paper! ;)

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. May you get spoiled rotten by friends and family. Following a series of surgeries in the last 2 yrs I found the best thing anyone could do for me was housework! A dear friend vacuumed and cleaned my home one day; another brought dinner for my family; another did laundry and yet another just came during the day to see if I needed company (I did!). Hubby was helpful, but often guys don't automatically SEE what you normally do and don't think to do it.

Don't forget those pain meds! It can really help to be sure to take them AS SCHEDULED and not try to rough it the first 2-3 days...Keep us posted when you feel better!

Mish - I enjoyed creating with you at the Make and Take - I would have introduced myself, but you wouldn't have known who I was. Just glad I got to stamp alongside ya!

Good luck on the gallbladder surgery. If it is anything like mine was, it's pretty simple and recovery time is pretty quick. Just take it nice and easy and be pampered for awhile!

Wishinbg you a speedy recovery. I had that done a few years ago. No incision and I was back to normal in just a couple days! Love your blog and all your cards.

I hope your surgery goes well...get lots of rest afterwards so that you recover completely! Can't wait to see you at CHA next year too!

I wish you a gall bladder removal like mine in May! Easy Peasy! But do be sure to milk it a little and get hubby and daughters to wait on you a little!

Krissy said...

I will say a prayer for your comfort and speedy recovery. I had my gallbladder removed 11 years ago, and haven't missed it since. I can tell you that, for me, recovery was a breeze compared to the discomfort I experienced leading up to surgery. I don't know about yours, but mine just quit working (darn thing!) My surgery was on a Friday morning, and by Monday I felt like I could have gone back to work (I didn't, but I could have!)

Take care!

Beautiful card. I envy the way you can layer and make everything look like it was born there, not put there. Good luck with the surgery. Will be thinking of you!

CHA was a blast! I really enjoyed meeting you, Dawn, Heather, and Debbie. It was great seeing Nichole again (I met her on the cruise almost 2 years ago). You all are SOOOOO AMAZING and an inspiration!
Good Luck with your surgery, I had my gallbladder out about 7 years ago...so worth it, I know how painful it was. Here is to a speedy recovery, I will be thinking of you ;)

Have an easy surgery and recovery. Don't forget to rest!

Prayers going to you for the surgery. Had mine out some years back and boy was I glad to say goodbye to the agony so how you kept up doing your cards and the blog is amazing. Take it easy afterwards and also don't even think you can bend down for anything, not even a little descent! It can take your system a while to get back to "normal" service so just go with the flow. Good luck, will be thinking of you.

Mish -It was so great to meet you, Dawn, Debbie and Heather at the Super Show! I want to wish you a speedy recovery-I had the same problem back in April and ended up having my gallbladder out. So many people told me it was a fast recovery, super easy so I was caught off guard when it ended up being more difficult and longer recovery than I thought. I only tell you this because like some other people on this post, it took a full 3 weeks for me to really feel like myself again. I feel awesome now and am so happy I had the surgery but I was not prepared for the difficult recovery. I do hope your surgery helps and you bounce right back, but don't overdo it! ♥ Remember you are having an organ removed (that's what my husband said when I complained that I thought I would feel better sooner!)

Hi Mish! It was wonderful to meet you at the Super Show. I am also having my gallbladder out tomorrow (Wednesday) and have also been suffering serious attacks. (I thought I was having a heart attack when I had the first one!) If I would have known you were going through the same thing, we could have compared notes at CHA! Hope your surgery goes well tomorrow!

Good luck with the gallbladder. I agree with a couple of the other posts...even though you are feeling good, don't push yourself (although I can't see stamping causing much of an issue...just house work and stuff!!).

Cheers and thanks for another great card.
