Hey friends, it's the first day of school for my sweet reds. Wow, are they growing up right before my eyes!! New school, new bus route, new friends......I can't wait to hear their day went.
As always I do a few back to school gifts for teachers. I have some fun new products in my Etsy shop that I'll be using for some fun gift boxes. I'm slowly filling my Etsy shop with simple gift packaging products that I think you'll love. I know we're all super duper busy these days with our hustle and bustle life styles but those little gifts and goodies are still important to us, right? Keep it simple, keep it simple......I keep repeating that phrase to myself. And it works. I was able to create back to school gifts in a jiffy. Let me show you what I made. I started out by creating some very simple tags. I used Medium Manila Parcel tags and stamped them with the lined paper image from School Time in yellow ink. I then punched Kraft colored circles and stamped them with another sentiment from SchoolTime.
Next up I grabbed some of my new Kraft Gift Boxes with Tissue. These are packaged in a set of five with five sheets of ivory tissue. A perfect little item to keep in your gift wrap stash. The boxes measure 3 x 3 x 2 and each tissue sheet measures 15 x 20. Simply fold the tissue to about 3" wide and line the box...then fill with goodies. I used various candies as every teacher could use a little chocolate on the first day of school. I also lined the inside of the lid with some school themed patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket. Very cute and simple.
Next, I tucked the lids in and tied my nifty little gift boxes up with my new Black Burlap Twine. The twine is very sturdy and rustic and adds such a nice look to the boxes.
I slipped the tags onto the twine before tying the final bow. I added a paper doily to the box of the girls' favorite teacher. So pretty, not too girly......sooooooo simple. I'm loving it!
Very nice presentation and it didn't take me all day.
In fact, I had some time left over so I made up a few additional gift boxes for the girls' volleyball coaches. You can see my folded up tissue paper...you can cut the tissue in half and still have plenty to line the box.
Just push the folded tissue into the bottom of the box and then fill with your goodies.
For these boxes, I used my White Parcel Tags and some images from All-Star Team. I added some Kraft Cardstock to these tags too, a very nice match. I think the coaches will love these treats.
And here's the Kraft Gift Boxes with Tissue...
And there's a bunch of Burlap Twine too.....

I love to see the gift boxes all lined up. I think they'll be great for little Christmas presents, all stacked up on a vintage silver tray. I can't wait to show you more ideas with the Gift Boxes and Tissue! And stay tuned for a post where I show you how to create your very own Gift Wrap Station.
The Gift Boxes and Burlap Twine are up in my shop. Be sure to check out all the new goodies. Here's the White Gift Boxes with Tissue.....And here's the Kraft Gift Boxes with Tissue...

Just love your cute boxes. Your girls teachers will be delighted. I have one son starting college and one son back to school Monday. Too old for teacher gifts but I will be making some for Christmas.

Only if someone in this house was going to school this year :) I am so happy I finally got to your ESTY shop before something sold out that I LOVE......... Great idea and I love those boxes and twine. What a cute way to give a cupcake :)
The girls look so sweet! I really enjoy all the items in your shop. Thanks for the inspiration too. Your gift boxes are adorable!
These are super cute Michelle! I didn't do anything for my son's teacher this year. We moved and he ended up with strep the weekend before school. So nothing got accomplished.
Cute boxes, and cute girls :)
Too cute, Mish! Where do you find the time to do all of that??? Yes, we moved both of our sons back to college two weekends ago ... it's very quiet in the house :(
OHHH GASP OH I need those boxes! No funds sniff,sniff.. till Wednesday... Well I guess I'll have for you to restock because I KNOW by then these will be gone! These would be awesome! My boys go back on the 8th so I have a bit so maybe I'll get lucky and you'll restock in time?? :) Happy 1st day to the girls!
what a sweet gift to give a teacher and I'm sure it'll being a smile to their faces and a little less weight to their load
My kiddos start school the first Monday in August so we've been in for a while. I did make a back to school gift though. A Teacher's Survival Kit; it included Starburst (for a burst of energy), rubber bands (to stretch their patience), paper clips (to hold it together), Band-Aids (for when it gets rough), marbles (to replace the ones they'll lose), a quarter (to remember that payday will come) and chocolate (for when all else fails). There was some other things too but I can't remember now...It came with a card, bookmark and book plates (so the kids know where to return those books!) and I used SU's First Day of School in my absolute favorite color, PTI's Pure Poppy.
Loving those boxes and twine!! You are just so creative, you amaze me!
Love your boxes. Where did you get the beautiful paper doily? I've got to have some! Elle Kasban
I made Jr. Legal Pads for back to school goodies - one each for my niece and nephew and one for my son's 1st grade teacher. Thanks for the notepad inspiration!

Your goodies are adorable. I don't have kids in school anymore. These would be great for any gift giving.
Totally sweet and fun idea! Who doesn't love to be remembered by a fun little gift?
Your girls are just so cute and wow on those adorable little gifts. Love all of the details.
You are such a great parent and of course so thoughtful and creative. I just get so inspired and happy when I visit your blog each day. Thank you for all the time it takes to post the pictures and walk us through everything, it is just a joy to visit your blog.
Love your boxes. The tags were cute too.
Yes, my girls are in school and I did send a gift in to the teacher.
I sent a mini Chicken Soup for the Teacher's Soul book, a stack of blank homemade cards, and a candy bar (snickers). I was think ing like you, every teacher needs a little chocolate on the first day.
What great gifts Mish, the teachers must love you!! My kids are grown adults now but I miss those school days.....LOL sometimes! My youngest just got married 3 weeks ago and I found myself constantly remembering back to when he was just a little tyke. Those days go so fast. I follow your blog all the time and I like seeing how involved you are with your girls. You are definately a mom making cherished memories for your girls.
So cute!!! I wanna be their teacher!
