Snowman Winter Wonderland

We've hit freezing temperatures the last few nights here in Kansas. That definitely makes me think of Fall and Winter which will be upon us soon. It's about this time of year that my winter and holiday stamps make their way out onto the stamp table (which is all clean now, by the way).

Today I used some Itty Bitty wintry images from Karen Lockhart...a snowman with little snowballs and a pair of cute mittens. I colored them with Copic Sketch markers (shown below), using my Colorless Blender to blend all the colors together. I like to use colors from the B0 color ranges when coloring snow. I think the blue tones give the snow a little more pop than just grey tones. I die cut my colored image with a Spellbinders Oval Nestabilities die template, then adhered that to a scalloped cut Spellbinders Scalloped Oval Nestabilities die template. I finished off my card with adorable patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket, buttons and ribbon from Papertrey and a sentiment that I pieced together from Papertrey's Snowfall and Snowfall Additions. A little machine stitching adds a homespun look to the bottom of my card.
Below are my Copic colors I used along with a shot of Karen's cute stamps.
Is it getting cold in your neck of the woods? I think it's a perfect time to embrace the colder weather...get out all your wintry stamps and papers...fix yourself a nice hot cup of your favorite beverage (apple cider for me)...and snuggle into your stamp room. It's a good thing!!

very cute! I wish it was getting colder in Hawaii, the past week has been miserable w/ no trade winds and high humidity (the temperature has been in the 90's and with the humidity it makes it feel like it's 96-98 degrees. yuck. But that's the price you pay for living in paradise :) Thanks for sharing!

Such a cute card (as always)! We had very cold temps and ice over the weekend...didn't get above 22! But that meant that I got to spend two whole days in my crafty room! I made Christmas cards, had the Christmas music and Christmas movies going, and had coffee and hot cocoa. Ahhhh...pure bliss! Have a great day!
