Damask Designs Wedding Cards

One more set of simple wedding cards to round up the week of wedding inspiration. Today I used my sweet friend Dawn McVey's Damask Designs set along with sentiments from Heartfelt Basics. I stamped a damask image and sentiment with Dark Chocolate ink onto Stamper's Select white card stock, layered it onto Dark Chocolate card stock and then tied it up with some Martha Stewart Cloud ribbon (from Michael's). Let me just focus on Papertrey's Stamper's Select White card stock......it's fabulous.......and it's a very thick card stock that takes ink well, and you can easily use it for your base card. It stands up well and is not flimsy at all. I always keep a stack handy for all my stamping and coloring.
I added some brown, shiny sequins under the sentiment for some wedding bling bling. I love the sentiments from the Heartfelt Basics set because you can mix and match the words that complete the sentiment phrases...this one is just perfect for weddings!
I finished off the insides of my cards too with some of the October Afternoon scraps and more sentiments from Simple Little Things (last year's PTI anniversary set..now retired but oh so useful). I think the *now and forever* really tie into the wedding them.

I hope you've enjoyed my wedding card samples. All this stamping for weddings and I only kept one or two for own stash. Looks like I'll have to visit the wedding cards again soon....but for now it's time to move on to something new. Stay tuned for something new and exciting next post! Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Your timing is perfect for me. Wedding cards are on my list, and these are wonderful, Michelle. I so agree about PTI white cardstock...it's the absolute best. It does take the ink so well, and it's wonderful for a cardbase. It's my favorite now. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful work!

Love your scraps on the inside of the cards, Michelle. I too save every little scrap I make and I don't think I have ever done and inside of a card....wonderful idea. Have a lovely weekend.

Another winner. Thanks for all the great ideas not just this week but ALL the time! I don't know how you manage to come up with new and fresh ideas practically every day of the year - but I'm sure glad you do because I don't have an original idea in my brain. I'm definitely a follower, not a leader and you are the leader of the pack! And you are soooo right about the PTI white cardstock. It's the only paper I use now (not just the white, ALL their beautiful colors AND their wonderful patterned paper too). Now me thinks me needs to go to PTI and order that damask stamp set. After all, the tax refund check should be rolling in any day now...

These are awesome! I love, love, love these cards! I also love PTI's white cardstock. I've had some problems scoring though. I can't seem to get a crisp fold. What do you use to scor?

Thanks once again for sharing your beautiful creations! I am so inspired by looking at your blog. Do you use a wizard with your cuttlebug embossing folders? I am having trouble using mine with the folders and am trying to see what others use. Thanks for your help!, only if you have time. Anne-Marie in SAlem, Oregon
