Papertrey & Pom Poms

EDIT: YES!!! I'll do a tutorial for you guys! Give me a little time to put it together and then I'll just post it in a new post. I'm glad you liked my projects! :)

The Senior Papertrey girls had a fun challenge presented to us this month. Nichole challenged us to use pom poms on our projects! I was immediately thinking of something fun and cutesy but look what I came up with....something fancy and flouncy. I created two beautiful cards and a book mark, using some white pom pom trim that I purchased some time ago. I think I bought it by the yard at Hobby Lobby. The best way that I have found to adhere bulky embellishments like this is with Scor-Tape. It's got a good, strong hold and will really keep it in place. You could also stitch over the flat part with your sewing machine.
For my projects, I used Dawn McVey's beautiful Damask Designs stamp set to create some spectacular embossed and masked backgrounds. Base card stock is Aqua Mist and the inks are Aqua Mist and Spring Moss. The ribbon is Aqua Mist Satin. I also used a Heidi Swap Mini Mask, my Copic Airbrush System, White Embossing Powder and my Glue Essentials pad for the background. For the bookmark, I used Spellbinders Long Rectangle and Long Scalloped Rectangle Die Templates, my faves for making book marks. If I get enough interest, I'd be glad to give a tutorial here on the blogaroonie for how to create the background.
For my card sentiments, I used the beautiful script fonts that Dawn used in Damask Designs. I also chose an inside card sentiment using Heart Print Sentiments to make a wedding card. The patterned paper strips are from Every Day Blessings. In case you're wondering, both of these cards will be hand delivered....one to a wedding and one to my folks for their anniversary this year. I'll probably nestle them into a Large Glassine Sack and close them shut with one of my embellished clothespins.
Be sure to check out all the other Senior Team Designer's blogs...and Maggie Holmes and Dawn McVey are playing along too. I can't wait to see what the girls created:
