The stockings were hung...

I've been adding Christmas cards little by little to my stash. Today's card uses a cute little stocking from Karen Lockhart called Candy Cane Stocking. It's a fun image to color in with Copic markers and it reminds me of a quilted stocking. Some day I would love to make quilted stockings for all us to hang off the mantel, it's on my to do list. I cut and embossed my image with a rectangle Spellbinder's die and then mounted the main image to a scallop cut Spellbinder's rectangle die. I added some pretty pink ribbon to the layers with brads and then adhered them to my card front. Patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye, some of my favorite this holiday season. The sentiment is from Karen Lockhart too. Pretty simple card but lots of fun details.
Note: I'll be answering some questions about my December Daily album soon. I'm off to get flu shots for the family and then I'm heading off to quilt class today. And I've gotten very close to my 80 pledges for the Make A Child Smile organization. I've got to count the final numbers but I'm sure we're there! Thank you SO much everyone!!
