Papertrey October Release

Whew, what a fun Papertrey Release, right? There are sooooo many fun stamp sets, punches and fun new colors added to the lineup this month. I'd love to hear what your favorites were and what you ordered. If you haven't been to the Papertrey gallery yet, be sure to stop by to check out even more samples of the Design Team. There are so many great projects, my list is a mile long of gifts I want to make. There's no need to think up something original this year for gifts, Papertrey has done the work for you!

Here's a recap of my projects this month:

First off, my Cocoa for Two gift ensemble using the Warm Happiness stamp set. Next up, a fun frame that holds two 4" x 6" photos. I used the cute mittens from the Snowfall set on the left. I dipped the mittens in the Glue Essential pad and then dumped on Martha Stewart brown glitter.
Here's a closeup of a soldered embellishment. I used the negative image of the Extra Jumbo Snowflake Punch. I inked the edges of the Kraft paper with white ink and then made a soldered sandwich. I added a button and green sequins to the outside of the glass. Tied it on with a fun PTI ribbon. Can't wait to add a photo of my family and set this on the mantle for the holidays.
Simply and beautiful card using the Silent Night stamp set and a leftover glittered Extra Jumbo Snowflake Punch.
Ohhhh, the Recipe stamp set! I'll be using this one a ton, you know how much I love the recipe cards! Here's my version of a 4" x 6" recipe card using the pre-printed recipe cards. I used some PTI holiday patterned paper and embossing on the beverage embellishments. I'll be making my mom's wonderful Hot Spiced Tea recipe and giving out a little tin with the recipe this year. Good stuff.
And finally, another gift ensemble using the holiday tags collection stamp set. Snowflakes are embossed and mounted on a gold Spellbinder's die. I packed up the hand scrub and lotion in a pretty frosted PTI sack along with some iridescent scrunchy filler.
The card was so simple to make, I used one of the printed recipe cards!
All supplies from Papertry Ink. Sooo, did you stay up til midnight???? I'm dying to know what you're going to make this year for gifts. Let me hear from you, girls!

I was up until midnight and then spent entirely too much money---***rationalizing***I'm making all my Christmas gifts this year and this will help me make BEAUTIFUL gifts!! (That's good, isn't it?!) I LOVE your Christmas card---I could definitely mass produce that one! And your recipe card is JUST what I was looking for! Thanks Michelle for tons of inspiration!

I love all the new PaperTrey things, and I'm hoping to place my *very first* PaperTrey order in the next day or two, but I'm having a horrible time deciding what to get. My 16yo dd is letting me spend $20 for my Christmas present, but it has to be wrapped up when I get it. Oh the pain!!! :) But, I'm also looking to get a set to make something inexpensive and fun that I can put in with each order I send out for my dayplanner company (www.hisgraceworks.com) over the Christmas season. I'm not sure what to do yet... hot chocolate? wrapped Hershey nuggets? mini notecards? post-it note packs? Any other ideas???

Thanks for your daily ideas and inspiration!

Hi Mish - well, I wasn't up 'til midnight - but I did stay up until 11:15 - so I could SEE all the new goodies! I got Silent Night and Warm Happiness - I totally LOVE what you did w/ the moss & blush, so I thought that could be my cards this year, but THEN, I saw what you did w/ the Silent Night set today and I'm thinking I may have several variations of cards this year!!!
I also love the double frame you made! That would be a perfect Christmas gift for me the hubby's parents.

I like all of your projects! I placed my first Paper Trey order and got the 2008 Christmas labels, the Hershey nugget wrappers and a few more things! I really wanted the Halloween sets but I told myself they would not come in time.
I am glad I stumbled upon your blog.

Well, since you asked! I came home from work, sat down to watch a little tv, promptly fell asleep in my nice comfy chair and woke up at 2 am, yes, 2 am...but did that stop me from placing my order?? Heck no!! I went straight to my computer and bought 4 stamp sets (Merry & Bright Additions, Quilters Sampler Additions, Warm Happiness and Snowfall), cardstock, ink, reinkers and satin and twill ribbon in the 2 yummy new colors, circle nestabilities (plain AND scalloped, thankyouverymuch) hmmm, that may be it - let's put it this way, $196.00 later and I was done. That's what I get for placing an order while 1/2 asleep - I have no control!!! Oh wait - 2 pads of the new dot pattern paper - how cute is THAT????? Thanks to all your creative ideas I will not be at a loss of projects I want to make. I have my semi-annual stamping/scrapping weekend with my girlfriends coming up on the 24th and I hope to stamp up a frenzy!! Most of them scrap, I'm the lone stamper in the group, so I hope to make them all insanely jealous when I break out my cute lil Mish ideas!! Hehe - I'll convert them yet!

Yes, I was there until midnite and spent $400 on everything, lol!! I plan on making a ton of gifts this year like some cool recipe boxes and ornaments. The tag set is brilliant--will definitely be using that alot. All of your projects are wonderful, but I love the idea of a decorated recipe card w/ a homemade gift--wonderful.

hugz,
Suzanne Dean

Your frame with the mittens is absolutely wonderful! I really loved the project and have managed to purchase frames (not finishe or even started for that matter) from the last project you created with the frames for the dry erase boards. Now I will have to buy some more frames! thanks for the continued inspirations. I look forward to your blog daily!

Wow you sure make me want to go out and spend money. You have some wonderful ideas.

Would you be willing to share your spiced tea recipe for a gal who quit coffee?

Blessings,
