Just a fun little card today using Karen Lockhart's cupcakes. Every year my mom gets the girls a Halloween cupcake decorating kit. It has a cake mix with Halloween colored frosting, sprinkles and cupcake liners. So I thought this would be a fun thank you card in case Grandma pulls through again this year! Also, I've been dying to get my hands on a black, shiny hobnail cake plate but I can't find one around here anywhere. I saw one on a magazine cover with this beautiful Halloween cake and now I think I need one. I'm on a mission to find one!
I colored the image with Copic markers in fun Halloween orange hues. Then I cut and embossed the image with a Spellbinder's rectangle and scallop rectangle die template. Pretty simple layout with Stampin' Up! Halloween papers in the background.
Check out the photo below for a close up of the Copic Spica Glitter Pens, they are so shimmery! To top off the cupcakes, I colored some Decorative Pearls with my black Copic marker. Black and orange gingham ribbon finishes off the main image.
