Reverse Pocket Goblin Card...and instructions

Here's another reverse pocket card sample. This one uses stamps from a cute little Wordsworth set called Ghosties from Rubber Soul(be sure to check out the other cute Halloween stamps too, they are cute!!). I stamped the square sentiment block in black, colored in with a purple Copic marker, then added purple Stickles to some outline letters. I stamped the word *Booo* on the mat underneath then added an extra SU! Eggplant cardstock mat. The patterned paper is from Rusty Pickle, base cardstock is Stampin' Up! River Rock and the squiggly background stamp is also from Rubber Soul from the Backgrounds set. Grosgrain ribbon is from Stampin' Up! and purple sequins are from my local scrapbook store.

Reverse Pocket Card Instructions:

1. Cut cardstock to 4-1/4" x 11". Score at 5-1/2" and fold in half (my photo should read fold 4-1/4" x 11" card in half...sorry about that). Add patterned paper to front of card or stamp.

2. Score bottom of card at 1-1/2" and fold. This fold will be on the inside of the card. Adhere the two outer sides of the fold to the inside of the card with sticky strip. Be sure to put sticky strip far enough apart so that a gift card will fit inside. Stamp top of card with background.

3. Punch the Stampin' Up! slit punch as far in as it will go in on the top center of the card.

4. Adhere the focal image piece to the front of the card with sticky strip. It's easiest to punch the slit punch first, add sticky strip to the front focal image, then place the focal image piece under the slit portion.....then press down to secure the sticky strip. This focal image piece can be whatever size you like, depending on the size of your stamped image, mats, etc.

5. Tie ribbon around card front. This can also help to hold down the gift card, stamped images or maybe a note you want to insert in the pocket. Okay, who wants a FREE Clearly Wordsworth Ghosties set, courtesy of Fred and Dani at Rubber Soul? This is a set of 5 acrylic stamp set. You will need acrylic blocks to use this set. I'll pick a winner on Friday after school. I'll pick a winner from all responses that answer this question: What is your favorite Fall or Halloween tradition? Or what one would you like to start? For me......I love to go on hay rack rides with my dad driving his old mini tractor and trailor...carving pumpkins.....making homemade Halloween costumes.....trick or treating.....soup in the crock pot.....Friday night football games.....yummy pumpkin bars....decorating my house.....scaring my husband......making Halloween cards and treats...!

What a wonderful card! Thanks for the instructions.
My favorite thing to do this time of year is getting together with family for thst Traditional turkey dinner. No other turkey dinner seems to taste the same; not even at Christmas. I wonder why that is........LOL.

My favorite fall tradition is going to our local neighborhood pumpkin patch. It's very small (and "dumb" according to DH!)but DD #1 absolutely loves going. They have pony rides and crafts for the kids -- and it's only 5 minutes from our house! Gotta love it!

I can't wait to try the reverse pocket! TFS!

Hmm...I don't really have any fall traditions. And when I thought about it, there really isn't any I'd like to start. Does that disqualify me? :)

Our favorite Halloween traditions are to go to the pumpkin patch and let our boys pick out pumpkins. We take the pumpkins home and use them to decorate outside with hay bales, corn stalks, and scarecrows. We love the haunted hayride and bonfire that is sponsored by our local youth group. A highlight of the bonfire is the marshmallow fight. On the night before Halloween, my six year old son and my husband carve a couple of pumpkins while my 4 year old son paints a couple of pumpkins. On Halloween, the elementary school parades around town before their party. That evening Halloween, we enjoy chili and crunchy peanutbutter popcorn balls befor trick or treating. Yummmm.

I do, I do! This set is cute and I love your card as usual! My favorite thing is cooking in the crockpot too! I have a few favorites, southwestern chicken stew, black bean & sausage posole & taco soup! ready for cool weather! if you get a chance, Michelle, please check out my latest post on my blog - I gave a shout out to you *smile*

I have two favorites...both involving food! I always make popcorn balls at Halloween for me and my kids and we always have homemade chili on Halloween for dinner and invite any friends in that come with their kids that would like to eat some! It is something I can do early in the day and just put in the crock pot and evreyone can eat whenever!

I can't wait to try this card out! Thanks for sharing the info.

I love fall --- as do most people ;)
The northeast is amazing in the fall -- we love to go apple picking at least once. Have warm apple cider and donuts as a treat. Life doesn't get any better! I would like to learn how to make an apple pie. Maybe I'll attempt it this year!

What a cute set! Our family has several fall-ish traditions. We go apple picking, find our way through corn mazes, decorating for Halloween, and going on a hay ride to find the perfect pumpkins. My boys usually paint their pumpkins and my husband I have a contest to see who can carve the "best" pumpkin. I am just in it for the seeds!

Growing up in the city, hay rides were out, but we did get to go to the "country" farm stand and pick out the pumpkin and then come home and carve it, that was great family fun.

Oops sorry, forgot to tell you that I love that card and thanks for the instructions, will be making one of these if not for Halloween, as most of my cards are done, then definitely for Thanksgiving.

Since moving to Vegas our new tradition is having a big chili feed outside with our neighborhood before we all take the kids trick or treating. Then when we get back, we all sit out front and pass out candy to other trick or treaters. Gotta love the warm weather here!

I just love handing out candy to the kids that come! Love to chat with them and admire the costumes!

Every year my family and I go to the pumpkin patch at a local farm - so much fun!! Of course, this includes the traditional hayride and craft goodies, i.e. jellies, jams, tole painted items to buy. Love this set you're offering. Crossing my fingers (and toes) that I win - hee! (Your card is adorable by the way!!)

It's hard to know where to start. I love Fall. I guess if I have to pick one it would be taking my girls to get pumpkins. Whether we go all out and head to the local pumpkin patch or go to a country stand, the excitement of the girls is contagious! Thanks for this opportunity!

You are so clever!!! Love this card and can't wait to try this. What a fun and unique way to give a gift card.
Our favorite and long standing tradition is the carving of the pumpkins the day before Halloween. Everyone gets to do at least one - usually 2 or 3. Sometimes that means a last minute trip to buy more pumpkins. We usually grow our own but only have the room for 1 plant, maybe 2. Hmmm, a new tradition - well now that my children are a little older and no longer go trick-or-treating, I leave a goodie bag right outside their bedroom door to find on Halloween morning. I fill it with candy, simple, fun small things -maybe a cd or two, maybe a gift card to Starbucks or Chipotle!! I plan to make this a new tradition. When they move away I will probably send them a Halloween care package too!!! :)
Thanks for your wonderful blog and sharing all your beautiful cards and creations with us!!

Oooooo I'd love it! Let's see...my favorite thing is visiting a nearby house that really goes all out decorating. The owner has a mile long driveway (and it is in the country) that is fully decorated with lights, music, mechanical spooky things, blow up ghosts and goblins, etc. and you just drive through. It is all decorated by one woman. She never had kids and lost her husband tragically about 30 years ago. She loves Halloween and enjoys decorating for the area kids. My kids love it too. We like to take our girl scout troop there each year on our hay ride and we try to make her something special. She's always so incredibly sweet. We can't wait for October 1st for her driveway to open! :-)

We line up all the pumpkins and carvers and take a picture when we're done. It's a great day that we all look forward to each year.

My favorite fall thing is definitely the pumpkins!! Up north, we went to the pumpkin patch every year so the boys could pick out their own. . .right from the vine. Down here, it's not quite the same, but we still go to the "pumpkin patch" and take tons of pictures and pick out our pumpkins. My boys love to pick out hard images for me to carve in their pumpkins. My oldest is getting old enough where he can do it himself. My middle one. . .he tries! :) I just love this time of year! Thanks for the chance to win!

Every year we look forward to donating our pumpkins and refreshments! Our family just loves this event!! On google the Keene Pumpkins is displayed!!

Carving my pumpkins! I do at *least* two every year......one year I had six!! I get the carving patterns and always choose one "fun" and one "spooky".

Then of course.....tormenting the kids when they come to the door!! :) We know pretty much every kid that comes (small town - less than 400 citizens) and I thoroughly enjoy seeing them in their finery! :)

I want it!!!! My city hosts a "Halloween Haunt" at a park, for kids up to age 12. The first year in my city I waited and waited w/ a bowl full of treats, and only two teenagers came by. Then I learned about the park. I've taken my son every year but he just turned 3, and this is the first year he is really excited, "I gonna be Spiderman for Halloween" comes out of his mouth every other minute and he is so excited. As a single Mom, I think little traditions like this are extra special, at least for the two of us.

But, my favorite Fall tradition is hosting Thanksgiving Dinner. I start planning a month ahead, sit-down traditional dinner. I bake several pies and cheesecakes the night before and set out all the dishes, silverware, platters, serving bowls, etc.. One year I had 22 guests in my shoebox-size house. I was so proud of myself!

Going to the farms for the festivals with the kids... or is it dressing them up for trick or treating... or maybe it's buying (&eating) all that candy... or making crafts... oh... i just love it ALL!

It's hard to pick a favorite! Trick or treating was mine growing up. We started a tradition with my own kids of going to a pumpkin patch and getting pumpkins as a family. So I think that is my new favorite!

Well there are so many fun things about Halloween so it's hard to narrow down to one but I would have to say one of my new favorite traditions is that several of our neighbors come over on Halloween night and we set up a little tailgaiting type area in my driveway-everyone brings a dish to share and their Halloween candy to pass out. We all take turns handing out the candy and just have a great time.

My favorite thing to do is(was) to make my daughter's costume. She is now 11 and thinks she's to big. The last costume & most creative was a dryer, yes a dryer. It was a cardboard box made to look like a dryer and your head came out the top. She had one of those glow in the dark necklaces that was inside that made it glow. "I think she needs another costume!!" We have done scarecrows, Hippie, Peter Pan, bunny rabbit, just to mention a few.

One of my favorite fall traditions is to get up early in the morning and go for a walk in the woods. I just love cool, fogy mornings. We have some woods just a couple houses from us - and we like to go for walks in the fall, dragging our feet thru the leaves once they've fallen. Our favorite Halloween tradition is to go camping at the sand dunes and all the kids trick-or-treat at the other motorhomes in the campground. Everyone has so much fun! If it falls during the week, we wait to go till Thanksgiving and then have a huge dinner with all our family and friends who come with us. We set up tables, everyone brings a special dish and we eat outside in the nice weather. When it starts to get cool out me and my son make a tradition of drinking hot chocolate or apple cider every night after dinner out on the porch.

My favorite Halloween tradition is fairly new. For the last 3 years, my husband and I have taken our now 5 year old grandson out to get a pumpkin. When we get back, our grandson tells my husband what he wants carved on it. He went through a long period where everything was about dinosaurs so my husband carved a wonderful T-Rex one year and a bracchiosaurus the next. We put them outside on Halloween with a candle inside and they look great! I hope this is a tradition we can continue for many years to come.

We do so many things for fall...lets see, I re-do my flower beds and plant mums. We take the kids to a corn maze, most corn mazes have pumpkin patches so we get our pumpkins there as well. I put out my outdoor fall decorations like hay, scarcrows and pumpkins. The night we carve our pumpkins we clean off the seeds and bake them. If the town we live in (hubby is in the navy) has a haunted house or garden, we normally will take the kids to that. The night of Halloween I never cook, we order Pizza. On Thanksgiving since we are far away from family we have single sailors over for a homecooked meal, since they can't be home also. I can go on and on about all of our traditions but I will stop here lol >"<

Favorite tradition has turned been to take my 2 children to the pumpkin patch and to spend the whole day there...go through the corn maze, ride the tractor/trailor to the patch, pick out the perfect pumpkins, scars and all and haul them home! I also love taking them trick or treating...I have more fun watching them than they do looking at their "treasures"! We eventually put all the candy in one big bowl for the family to share!!!!!!! Of course, for ME...the crafting is fun...this is when I ATTEMPT to mail out my thank yous to customers since we all get "lost" during the holidays, this is a time for me to be ahead of the game!

I enjoy your blog,

Trudi

We always bake tons of CREEPY goodies. The kids get so involved and love it. Our favorite is probably the bloody finger cookie.

It's a simple sugar cookie rolled into the shape of a finger- then you "carve" the wrinkles into it. Then after you bake them, you put red frosting on the nail bed and a slivered almond for the fingernail. They look creepy but they taste great! Even the older kids have fun with it!

I just LOVE halloween. We all gather at my house now, my sisters triplet girls (3yrs old) and my kids. My kids and brother-in-law like to scare the neighbors. I used to make my boys costumes - the "working mom guilt", but they were always something unique. One year my eldest was a paint can and won $5 in the township costume parade. We always have such fun - rain, warm, or even SNOW!!

Thanks for offering these stamps and offering your card/instructions!

I LOVE to take my daughter to the pumpkin patch for a hayride, especially if it's cool and sunny, a rare combo in TN in October! I also love picking out a Halloween costume for my DD and setting up our fall display of pumpkins, hay bales, Indian corn, and mums. You should see how fat those little squirrels get after eating all that corn!! Have you ever seen a squirrel wobble? I HAVE!!!!

My favorite traditions? Hmmm...I have so many as fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I love to go to the pumpkin patch with my boys to pick out a pumpkin, I love decorating the house for fall and Halloween, baking pumpkin cookies and pumpkin bars, picking out Halloween costumes for the kids, carving pumpkins, Boo at the Zoo, etc.

Our favorites include picking pumpkins from a pumpkin patch and carving them and roasting the seeds. Burning my pumpkin/spice candles and using my crockpot for quick and easy comfort meals. But my favorite thing is watching my son (4) parade around in his little dinosaur outfit that finally fits him. He's plays in it every couple of days hope it lasts until Halloween> BTW- I love your Blog!!

My kids love hay mazes or corn mazes and my older son usually works as a vampire in the local haunted house. There's also a nursery nearby that puts up a cute display. Me, I like going up to the mountains to see the pretty leaves and hike in the crisp Fall air. Everyone loves carving pumpkins. We usually have to buy a dozen or so to keep everyone happy.

I love Halloween and Christmas the most...I love going to the craft stores and sifting through all the cute little decorations to put in the house. I love making Halloween treat bags, homemade costumes, Christmas cards, and decorative wrapping paper. Most of all, I love to just spend the time taking pictures of the kids and family doing all these things together. :)

Our favorite tradition as a family is to gather up all the family, kids, moms, dads, cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents and then spend the day at the pumpkin patch. We pick out pumpkins, go on hay rides, ride ponies and the kids their faces painted and eat lost of junk food. It's such a great time. Thanks for your SOOOO cute cards. Love them all!
