Geraniums and Foxglove...

The last of my floral samples this week. These are geraniums and foxglove. Again, another type of flowers that have specific colors. I chose the pink varieties for these cards. Stamps are from the Lockhart collection, and paper is from these nifty little 6 x 6 Basic Grey pads that Ellen sells. I used those cute little pearls again from Ellen's store, they are such a fun change from sequins or brads. I just love 'em.

Tip of the day: Sometimes it's nice to have a stash of cards that have no specific verse stamped on the front of the card. This way, you can have cards for any occasion on hand and just stamp the sentiment on the inside when the occasion arises. Or just send out note cards to a special friend for no reason at all. Those are the BEST kinds of cards to get.

Enjoy your weekend everyone! It's supposed to be hot here in Kansas so we'll be swimming at Grandma's pool! And getting Diet Cherry Limeades from Sonic. Do you guys have a Sonic where you live. If ya don't......big BUMMER! It's like an old fashioned drive up restaurant..like on Happy Days. The kids bring out your order and you eat in your car. I SOOOOOOO need a convertible for my Sonic trips!

Didn't know much about the Sonic phenom when we lived in IL, but have discovered them since landing in GA last fall. I'm a cherry limeade fan too! BTW, I started a blog and linked yours in mine today! Thanks for the inspiration!

Gorgeous cards!! Love the colors!! I don't think we have Sonics in Wisconsin, but I have heard of them. We still have a few A&W drive-ups around, but I don't think they carry Diet Cherry Limeades!! Boy, those sound yummy!!!!!

These are really cute - I love pink and it was my mom's favorite color. Yes, we have Sonics here - we are the home of where Sonic started, Oklahoma. Plus, my daughter-in-law's best friend's dad owns several of them in Edmond, OK. And if you want, we are lucky enough to have 2 convertibles. Come on down and we will take you for a spin to a Sonic!

PS: Hi again, I would like to know if you would allow me to use the Geraniums and Foxglove photo for my desktop wallpaper, I am soooo in love with this image. What a pleasure it would be to see it all day. Thank you for your time.

I enjoy reading your blog so much! You're an inspiration to me, Mish. Thanks for sharing your talent and wonderful tips with us.

We have a Sonic here in New Mexico and my favorite drinks are Cherry Limeade and Ocean Water. My kids and I go to Sonic a lot after school and during the summer. My SIL lives in Wisconsin and when she comes to NM for a visit, she goes to Sonic everyday! :)

I am totally loving all your flower-y cards lately. I have a sonic less than a mile from me and have not tried a cherry limeade - YET. I think I'm gonna stop on my way out today and get me one!
Thanks for sharing your amazing talent!

Michelle, these are just gorgeous! What did you use to color the flowers? I would also really like some information (a tutorial?) about how you color--like the way you framed the picture without coloring INSIDE the lines and the way you shadowed.
