Welcome to 2016...blog goals

Hey everyone, welcome to 2016!  Here's to a happy new year.  Many of you that follow my Instagram account know that in 2015 I embarked on an art journey.  I have always loved art and studied it in high school and college.  Somehow it got pushed aside but last year I dusted off my supplies and my art became a major creative focus.  Lots of you on the blog missed that first year of my new art journey so I've decided to share it her on the blog.  I'm going to begin right from the start so I've got a bit of catching up to do.

To help me out, I'll be using the Get to Work Book from Elise Blaha Cripe.
It's a great goal setting planner and calendar in one.  I've got all my art from 2015 sorted and ready to share here on the blog.
I'm nowhere near a professional nor do I have any big goals in mind just yet with my art.  All I know is that I just feel like putting pencils and paint to paper.  And so my story begins here on the blog.
I've got lots to share as I've been exploring all mediums and techniques.  I've taken some great classes and have met some inspiring people.
I hope you'll join me as I share in my journey.  My plan is to start from the very beginning and catch up to what I'm currently working on.  I may flip back and forth between older art and new stuff.

For those following my December Daily....I still plan to finish it and post here on the blog.  No promises on how often I'll post as my mother is not in good health & I'm helping a lot with doctor's appointments, etc and it takes up a lot of my time lately.  She suffered a stroke just after Christmas so it's imperative that I step in to help my aging parents.

As for my Project Life.....I don't know.  I'd like to finish out last year and document my youngest daughter's last year of high school.  I may get to it and I may not.  I'll post any scrapbooking or card making updates here on the blog though.

So here we go.  Hope you enjoy this journey with me and perhaps become inspired to pick up that paint brush again...or start new.  I also post a lot about my life on Instagram...I'm Mish Wooderson if you want to follow me there.  See ya soon!

I've missed your blog posts as I'm not on instagram so I'm interested in your art journey. But most importantly, take care of your mom. Happy New Year.

We've missed your regular posts here on your blog this past year. Always enjoyed your Project Life posts, December Daily and other shares.

I was where you are this year last with my own mother. I know how close your family is and will keep you hemmed in our prayers and positive thoughts. We both have daughters graduating this year.

All the best in 2016...

Hugs,
- A.

Wishing your mom and you well as you navigate her recovery. I'm excited to see where your art journey has taken you - the "teaser" pictures look wonderful! I need to get more into Instagram, I miss too much! Best wishes to you, your mom, and your family this New Year's.

I follow some of your art boards on Pinterest and I have to say that I love seeing all the art of famous and not so famous (or I should say, unknown to me) artists there. I do miss your cardmaking as there is no one who posts that makes such creative cards in the simple but highly creative style that you do. Good luck with your art journey and of course, with your life journey as well.

I really enjoy your posts and want to wish you and your mother the best of luck in her recovery. As a stroke survivor, I know how much she depends on you, but I also know how hard it is on you (and my kids) to give the help she needs. I hope it gets better for her like it did for me. Looking forward to seeing your artwork in the coming year.

Best wishes for a solid recovery for your mom. I'm anxious to see what you've been up to. Your blog is so different from way back when. That's not a bad thing. Interesting to see how it has evolved. And PS - isn't Elise's GTWB the best!?

Michelle,

Have also missed you...like many others I haven't gone the Instagram route so today was a pleasant start to 2016. Looking forward to seeing your art journey which looks amazing. BUT right now your focus is rightly and has to be, your Mom. So sorry to hear her news but will say a prayer for you all for recovery and strength to keep going.

Pinterest can be great-Ive just found your blog and really like your style. It'll be lovely to follow this year, but your mum comes first!

I'm sorry to hear about your mum's stroke, I hope she recovers well. I also hope that you manage to get some more Project Life done, yours is by far the best (in my opinion) that I have been able to find on the internet, and I have saved so many of your pages as inspiration.

So sorry to hear about your mom! Be kind to yourself as you embark on this new journey but use it as a wonderful way to document everything that you can about your mom. I have a feeling she will be instrumental in future art pieces. Prayers going out to your family for her speedy recovery!

So sorry to hear about your mom. In this crazy life taking care of the ones you love are so important and to the only thing that matters. I hope she recovers quickly. Big hugs to all of you! I usually am on instagram following you like crazy :) but decided to stop by here on the blog and I'm so glad I did. I have missed the person and the stories behind the art.
