On a more cheerful note, I needed something to keep my mind busy this morning. Josey received a darling little graduation gift from a friend at school and a thank you card was in order. I created this fun card and treat sack ensemble.
This cheerful card uses a stamp set called Spunky Nature from My Cute Stamps, now available at 2Peas. I love to cut out their fun images + they were perfect for embossing too.
Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink along with fence die cut and ribbon.
I love to personalize cards and gifty items for the girls' friends. I used a small metal rimmed tag and spelled out Riley's name using Hero Arts tiny letter stamps.
Using a medium glassine sack, I tucked in a few Kit Kats and stitched the sack closed with my sewing machine. A few extra embossed images embellish the sack.
Hope you enjoy!

And thanks for sharing your "thank you" treat...very cute!
My family lives in Hillsboro, KS and my nephew was out chasing this particular storm last night (you must be near Emporia). Glad you weren't affected; praying for those who were.
Sending prayers their way. Neat card!
Very sweet card and treat bag. I love the plaid tummy on the bird - adorable. Prayers for the families affected by the storm. It has been a really bad season!!! Kansas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia...ugh! I even have friends in INDIA who have suffered through severe storms and tornadoes! Glad you had a basement to get into!!
We are in the same situation here in Alabama. The tornadoes on April 27 did not hit our town, but there is devastaion all around us. We will be thinking of Reading!

Just can't imagine what you guys go through with tornedos, but our thoughts are with you as we went through such trying times in January in Queensland. Take care.
been thinking of you! Glad to hear you are okay and my heart goes out to those in Reading. I saw the news on TV when I have having my IV treatments. We've been hit here by tornadoes and and have seen and felt the devastation.
Oh Mish, I didn't realize you were that close to Reading. I am so glad you are safe and your families as well. So sad about Joplin, too. That is not too far from where I grew up.
All of those people are in our thoughts and prayers
The card set is adorable
Thanks for sharing
Susan
Hi Michelle, praying for everyone there in Kansas. I live in Alabama and we were spared from last month's devastation as well, although a number of friends experienced severe damage. Thankful none of them were injured or killed, but unfortunately hundreds of others were. I'm sorry I rarely comment on your blog, but I do want you to know how much I enjoy reading it and seeing your beautiful creations. I love your vintage style. Hope you have a wonderful day.
This thank you is adorable! So thankful you and your loved ones are safe.
Beautiful Thank you Gift and card. Love the bird on the fence.
When we live so far away, we only see what is on the TV news. Hearing your firsthand account makes it more personal and real. Glad you and your family are ok and sending prayers to those in Reading.
Our prayers go out to those in Reading and love how area towns pull together to help out. I live in KS just across the state line from Joplin who had a devastating tornado last night with storms still in the area. Please also pray for those affected by this tornado as well as all those who are helping either by donating blood, items needed or with the healthcare and search and recovery.
My heart goes out to all who suffered during the storms. I pray for healing for those who lost so much. I hope that you and your family continue to be safe! As always I love your work!
Thoughts & prayers to all those affected by the recent outbreak of tornadoes.
As someone who felt the wrath of Cyclone Yasi that devastated North Queensland, Australia, in February this year, my heart goes out to all affected by the tornadoes in America. At least with cyclones, we get days of notice to prepare and/or leave the area. Thinking of you,
Jo R.
Sending prayers your way! We are getting to see this tragedy on the news here in Canada and it is devastating to see the destruction. Hear there are more warnings for today....
Sending prayers your way and to those affected by all the tornadoes. Such devastation the storms have caused this year. Stay safe, and thank you for sharing your creations.
Sending best wishes and prayers across the miles (Australia)Glad you are all safe. Kind regards Denise
Glad you were safe. We live in Joplin so I understand the hurt you feel. My family is safe thankfully, but our community is crushed. . . it is indeed very hard to see. . . Prayers to your community. . .
