Hanging in there....

Hi everyone. I know I've been absent from my usual blogging. Just wanted to pop in and say hi. As for most everyone, this time of year is extremely busy for our family. Last week I was busy preparing for Josey's graduation party. We had family in town for 3-4 days and it was a great time. This week is even busier and a little hectic for me. But we do what we have to do as parents to take care of our family. Found this quote online...definitely true for us right now.
I will be back later this week with this month's Papertrey release projects. The rest of the week has been/or will be filled with family happenings. So far this week we've had a death in the family + a small family gathering/funeral. Our dear distant cousin Myrtle was laid to rest at 103! What a full and wonderful life she had. The girls and I will miss our wonderful visits with her.

Yesterday we had a track meet with 100 degree temps. Jordan is suffering from allergies/asthma and barely made it through. Josey has been suffering from dizzy spells and headaches that we can't figure out so I am making appointments to figure out what's happening with her as well. We've been in contact with neurologists and heart doctors to get us started. It's a long and emotional process when your child is sick.

And then there's the usual end of school year activities. Josey graduates this Friday and we wrap up school at the end of next week. Lots of decorating, field trips and plans to make for summer activities and sports.

In addition to our little family happenings, my mother-in-law was just diagnosed with breast cancer. We're waiting to hear what her treatment options will be after these first initial doctor's appointments. Our summer may include helping her to and from appointments and doing whatever else we need to do to help out.

With all that said.....life is busy. We live for the moment around here and enjoy it all, however hectic and busy it gets. Life is good and we feel blessed. I may have to focus a little more on family this summer so my blog posts may be fewer. Who knows.
Just wanted to say thank you for always stopping by and for leaving nice comments. Our paper crafting community is a wonderful thing and it's nice to have good friends like you! See ya later this week, my friends.

Will be praying for your dear MIL, and for all of you and the loss you just faced. Hugs, my friend! We'll be here when you get back! (some of us mostly lurking...lol)

Sometimes I think that someone up there - or wherever - decides to crank up the speed on the treadmill of our lives. Makes the running harder work than usual give us quite the test.
Sounds like this just happened to you and your beloveds. Hope everything turns out ok for you all... thinking of you.
Take all the time you need. Life and its family priorities are more important! Big hugs, Ruth S

Dear Mish,
We've had pretty much the same stuff going on in our life as you have in yours, so hang in there (and prayer really does work). That said, my son had the headaches/dizzy spells too & the first doctor we went to said 'brain tumor', so we went for a 2nd opinion. We found out that he just needed glasses! If you haven't checked that out yet, give it a shot. And I'm adding y'all to my prayer list.

You know...
as busy as my life may seem...
and sometimes it's not as perfect as I may want...
after today's post it makes me realize that my cares are so few that I'm a horrible person for ever complaining when something isn't going just as I had hoped.
Your aunt lived a long and I'm sure quite wonderful life...
to be given that much time with the ones we love...
and I can only imagine the stories that she could tell...
I know you will miss her though so my condolences to you and your family.
I will remember to say a prayer for your MIL and your family in what will be a challenge for all of you in the coming months.
And I hope your daughter is soon on the mend...
there is nothing worse than being a mother and having a child sick and we're not able to make it all better...
we're Mom's.
That's what we do.
So thoughts and prayers for you and your family being sent.

Big hugs going out to you and yours Mish.

Mish You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Hope Jordans asthma clears up. Josey and her dizzy spells get better. It is always so scarey when it's your kids. I can deal with most anything as long as I know my kids are safe and healthy. I know your always busy when your so involved in your kids lives. I was the same way. They were always into sports , leadership classes, volunteering, and on and on. Kept them out of trouble, and they always made honor roll. So know it was best thing to do for mine. Anyway I do hope your mother-in-law has been diagnosed early as they have such good treatments now.
Your in my thoughts. Take of of YOU too, without you healthy they won't have there Rock.
Super Hugs,
Cynde

My smallest daughter has asthma, too, and that alone makes me feel pretty helpless sometimes, I can imagine what a rollercoaster you might be in right now.... However busy those next months might be, try and remember that you need to have some space in this too, don't forget yourself in this all....
big hugs from me,

I will be thinking of your family and hope for the best possible outcome for your MIL. This is why I have joined thousands and will be walking 39.3 miles in October in the Avon Breast Cancer Walk in Charlotte NC as well as the 5k Susan Komen run in June. We need to stop this disease! For my grandmother, mother, friends, and millions of other women, and men.
Be strong and know you have a lot of support.

Thinking of you at this challenging time in your life. Remember to take a deep breath or two every day, and think about 2 positive things to keep you grounded. It really works. I promise to keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. I wish I had a magic wand that I could pass on that will make this all go away, however, we gain strength from meeting life's challenges. Even though we don't know one another, it's obvious that you have lots of love in your heart by the way you express yourself and your creativity. Be true to yourself and keep positive. Wishing you all life's best!

You and your family will be in my prayers for the coming moths. Life has a way of ganging up on us and it would be easy to cave in and feel sorry for yourself. You don't seem like that kind of person to me. You have such a positive outlook on life and I know God will be guiding the hands of the doctors and professionals who care for your liffle red and yout mother in law. Take care, breathe deep and know that God is near.

Mish-trying to catch up on my bloggers tonight and spent some time ooooo-ing and ahhhhhhh-ing over your PTI fruit fusion cards and projects and then got to this post. Just wanted you to know I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I love to see what you come up with in your creative process and touch base as often as I can. While I will miss your (almost) daily posts, I TOTALLY understand family comes first. Your focus on family and your ability to make each and everyone close to you feel important are just a couple of the reasons I LOVE your posts. I so admire your talent, and honor the values you demonstrate every day. Blessings to you and your family.
