Sip and relax..

Edit: Linda asked if the ribbon that I wrap around the card front shows on the inside of my card....or if I cover it up. I do not cover it up. Many times I stick an extra little note, a check that I owe someone, etc under that little snippet of ribbon. Hope that helps. :)

I love the pretty colors of these cards. I drew inspiration from the colors in the Basic Grey patterned paper I used. There's nothing like a pile of finished cards to make me happy. :) I used Papertrey stamps for my images...Tea for Two the sentiments and Everyday Classics(anniversary set) for the teacup.
I finished off the main image with a scalloped square punched that was stamped with a polka dot square border from Borders and Corners Squares. Ink colors I used were Aqua Mist for the teacup, Scarlet Jewel for the sentiment and tea bag and Sweet Blush for the polka dot square border.
For a quirky little touch, I added tied ribbon in Lavender Moon. I love to add those unexpected colors just to mix things up a bit.
It's dark and rainy here today....a perfect day to meet up with a friend....enjoy a cup of tea........and relax. :)

Michelle, I love these! And I agree - what satisfaction to have a stack of finished cards done! I have learned so much from you, and one of the great things is how to mass produce a lovely card...thanks! Hope you have a great Halloween celebration (and that everyone's feeling better)! TFS!

Mish, I look forward to your blog everyday to see what you have to share. I find myself following your style (with a touch of my own of course) but do have a question for you. When you tie your ribbon around your card front, do you wrap around the entire card so it shows inside also or is it covered in some way? As always, thanks for sharing.

I like the Lavendar Moon ribbon. It's not something I would think of to add (I'm a very 'matchy' person), but it looks so GREAT on your cards!

I can not find the Everyday Classic set that you used. Is it not available for sale? I love the coffee cup.

Good Friday Morning,

I just wanted to take a moment to say "thank you" for sharing your talent. The last 2 years have been filled with struggles, and I truly look forward to reading your blog and admiring your beautiful "works of art". I appreciate all you do and find it so important to simply say thank you. You are appreciated.

Mish,
How lovely! I love the soft color palette.

A question--which Basic Grey set were you using? Looks familiar. I love to see others incorporate the lovely pattern paper that I can't seem to resist.

Thanks, Monica
