Happy World Card Making Day!

Edit: The leaf punch I used for the kits was from Punch Bunch...that's all it says on the punch. I purchased it years and years ago. My kits and cards from today's post are sold out, thank you so much for visiting my shop! And to answer the frequent question.....yes, I will be making more Grab & Go Bags. I'm going to have them as a regular item in the shop each month hopefully...but in limited quantities. I will post them first here on the blog before I load them into the shop. Thanks for stopping by! Back to the birthday party festivities, it's gonna be a great day! 8 girls.....anybody got ear plugs?? Happy World Card Making Day! On Saturday, I will be knee deep in a birthday party for Jordan(8 girls plus a scavenger hunt and weenie roast!) so I thought I'd get my post done early. Card making and crafting is such a huge part of my life. I think it's so wonderful that I have finally found my own little place in the world where I'm doing something that I'm good at, having a great time and have met some of my best friends ever! I couldn't be a luckier girl. I hope you get the chance this weekend to carve out a little time for yourself to make a card or two. It's so good for the heart and soul!

I love photos like the ones below. It's a creative mess that you just want to dive into, right? All of the wonderful supplies that I'm so fortunate to own and play with...it makes me happy every time I walk into my craft room.
I was inspired today by some new patterned paper that I got from Nichole's local scrapbook store. The line is called Sweet Shoppe from Collage Press and is it ever heavenly. I need to order some more soon when I find a good online source!
I went a little vintage pink with my cards today, combining Papertrey images with a shimmery cream ribbon, a homemade patterned background using Guidelines 2...some pink shimmery Martha Stewart glitter.........
...the images I combined use a Vintage Picnic basket from the set I designed and Nichole so wonderfully illustrated. I paper pieced the basket from some of my lovely patterned paper. The flowers are from Everyday Button Bits, topped off with adorable little pink Vintage Buttons and some white vintage buttons from my antique finds. The images are stamped on little journal sheets from Making Memories that I found at Archivers. Little clear sequins finish off some of the flowers.
I got so inspired from my finished cards that I decided to make up a few Vintage Pink Mishie Mini Kits for my Etsy shop. It's a little bit of all things cute, combined with cheery pink and olive green accents.
There's pretty patterned paper from Sweet Shoppe, pink and green velvet ribbon snippets, journaling sheets from Making Memories........and below are pieces from an old book that have been distressed with Ranger inks and sprayed with pink and pearly colored Glimmer Mist....and a few punched leaf accents.
Add in some sweet little flowers with pink sequin centers....and some scalloped punched circles with pretty tied buttons and some hand cut, creamy white circles......and you've got yourself some button baubles.......
It's a cute little kit...totally girly.....with a vintage feel......just waiting for something creative to happen. Each kit will come with the contents shown below, enough to create a few cards, a scrapbook page or maybe decorate a cute sack.
I've saved a kit for myself so if you purchase a kit, stay tuned for some card ideas soon. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by today!! I feel blessed to be able to share my creations with, while totally loving this crazy craft of ours! Have a great day everyone!!

I've been reading your blog regularly for quite a while because I think everything you touch is magic, and I gotta ask because I've been wondering for a while... what do you do with the numerous copies of the cards that you make? Swap? Sell online? Sell at craft fairs? Give out to friends and family? I've always wondered why you always make duplicate all at once.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful creations with the rest of the world!

Cindy :)
