In my purse I have...work keys, car keys, 2 diapers, small pack of wipes, kleenex, nail clippers, wallet (wish it had money in it..LOL), 2 bottles of Window Chalk from decorating the car for my oldest daughter's cheerleading competition last weekend in Dallas, and last but not least Tylenol. :) Thanks for the chance to win...LOVE your stuff!!

I thought it would be fun to play along with Nichole's challenge so I created this fun little, patchwork tote. It uses Moda and Amy Butler Fabric.
An adorable little tote, finished up with Papertrey Berry Sorbet ribbon handle and a fancy little bow and heart embellishment.
Completely lined and oh so cute! Well, I think so.
With a little somethin' inside.....Butterfinger and Reese's Hearts (I've eaten two from the pack already, my faves!).....snippets of ribbon on a wooden clothespin(available at Dollar Tree)......
....and a little signed by mwah. Card uses Kraft and Vintage Cream cardstock, Berry Sorbet Swiss Dot ribbon and ink, buttons, Simply Stationery stamp set and some cute embellishments I made HERE using Heart Prints(a must have Valentine set!). I tied one onto the bag also.

What do I carry in my bag, almost nothing. I have one of those big, all business like bags. Its beautiful and I carry a small wallet, and I mean coin change type wallet in the tiny inside zipper, my keys in the front flap, and a tiny note pad and pen in the big open area. You'd think I'd go smaller but I love my bag I just hate carrying everything in it.

My purse has the standard stuff, wallet, checkbook, keys, iPhone, pen... I guess the only extras I have a wallet-sized photo album for pics of my cute baby boy and coupons to Joanns, Michaels and Carter's. I always print them out and stick them in my purse just in case!

Gosh, what ISN'T in my purse? My bag seriously weighs probably 15 pounds! Wallet, camera, sunglasses, cell phone, tissues, about 5 different lip glosses, notebooks, pens, business cards, bluetooth earpiece, tylenol, mirror, a few packs of gum...the list goes on!

I just love that tote. I carry everything from lipstick to a swiss army knife (mini). You have no idea how handy that is. From cutting tags off new purchases to tweezing a sliver. Keep the creativity coming.
Wow, what a gorgeous tote bag! I would say the most utilized tool in my purse is a nail clipper. That thing comes in handy for so many things. Cutting tags off stuff for the kids, clipping loose strings on shirts, etc...

Anyhow... in my purse, there is always a pen and paper, and my credit card. :-) I'm always jotting down lists, sketch ideas, phone #s, etc. And I'm horrible about carrying cash, so I've always got some plastic on me!

It just starts to accumulate stuff. Of course there's the gum and the chapstick and the nail clippers and the wallet ... but there's also at least one mini-notebook and a ton of receipts that I stuff in the purse and a few loose coins and bits of this and that ... I change purses every few months and just bring the necessities with me so I have several purses with just a few things in them and mostly garbage ... weird
Let's see...In my purse are always some Wet Wipes...you don't know how many I go through with kids!! Otherwise, the usual stuff. I did buy an awesome new purse called The Healthy Back Bag by Ameribag. I love it and it is supposed to be VERY ergonomic for your back!! Love it so far!!
How adorable! I love most anything with a quilted look and your tote is so cute! For things in my purse, I really don't like to carry much. There is a credit card, ID and the local garden shop points card. A small calendar along with lip gloss, bone shaped mints and a crystal nail file. And I always make sure there is room for my iPhone. I love, love, love your tote. You are a girl after my own heart. People always make fun of me but I always carry my 15 ft. tape measure in my bag. They make fun of me until they need it. Other than the diapers and wipes, it's my most used item.

Wow! This is gorgeous! I have a little clutch that I carry so it doesn't have a lot in it. Just the essentials! I have a tube of Burt's Bees chapstick, a pocket knife (The leatherman squirt, to be precise), my wallet, and my library card, which, for some reason, is not in my wallet. That's everything!
My purse has been claimed as mine in the last few months. It seemed to becoming the dumping place for everyone and everything, so I purged, and it is mine. I do carry my wallet, lip gloss, gum, a small car, a pony (yup still carry for the littlest one), cell phone. I try to keep it clean and simple, but other stuff does creep back in.
Mish this is just such an adorable tote and I love the goodies!! Now don't eat them all! :)

The bag is adorable! Love to win it! Along with the usual, can't do without items, I carry a very small measuring tape--pull-out style- to measure inseams, tees, etc. when I come across a clothing item my grandchildren could use. It always brings comments like, "I should have one in my purse too."

I have a boatload of stuff in my purse - most important are the wallet, my sub notebook - and my Sugar lip treatment. That stuff works wonders to minimize chapped lips. Pricey, but worth it!

Sadly, I don't carry a purse. Never have. I do however always have my wallet in my back left pocket...does that count? But one thing that I never leave home without is chapstick. I carry some sort of lip balm (Burt's Bees, chapstick, vaseline, etc) on my person at all times.

I carry a lot of things in my purse at ll times...
My Rebel, My wallet (bursting with money and lots of white money (aka receipts), keys, ziplock baggies filled with different kid sized portions of snacks (aka bribes to keep them busy and quiet when we are out shopping or running errands), baby wipes, 2-3 diapers, hand sanitizer, hand lotion and last but not least... my favorite must have item Lip glosses...I must have at all times at least 6-7 different ones on me at all times! LOL 1 in my jacket pocket and the rest in various compartments of my purse!
I recently bought an Instinct phone and I made a cute little case from Heather Ann fabrics that I carry in my purse. I also have a flat wallet, which keeps me from cramming tons of stuff in my wallet. I also have a coffee punch card so I can get a free cup when I fill it...almost there! I always carry a notepad to sketch ideas for projects and to write notes.

My purse always contains my camera, wallet, keys, lotion, travel toothbrush and travel toothpaste, my treo, ibuprofen, pens and a small notepad, my chequebook, and a ziplock bag with handmade cards and envelopes.
I don't carry anything for my husband, and I don't have any kids, so my purse stays fairly clean and organized.

I carry a small pair of PINK reading glasses in my purse. I've always been blessed with better than 20/20 vision but in the past 2 years my up close vision is sometimes blurry especially when I'm tired. So I started carrying these little dainty pink glasses which I seldom use but I have them just in case. The funny part of this story is that my husband has been having the same eye issues but instead of carrying his own "manly" glasses, he borrows my little pink ones. It's fine if he's just using them to read the fine print on a package when we are in Walmart but he uses them every Sunday morning when we sing in the choir. So my husband stands up in front of our entire congregation and sings the anthem wearing my dainty pink glasses perched on his nose!!! Every Sunday!!!It's really hilarious!

Besides my wallet and cosmetic case I always have Kleenex small packages hand wipes folding scissors a tiny pocket knife apirins and a pen. I love your tote the fabrics are beautiful. I made some fabric totes a few yeras bacj that used clover iron on tape over the seams that were then stitched I used lots of decorative quilying and beads sewn on. FUN-FUN- FUN!! Ann Lind

Now, at 50 with my youngest a jr. in h.s., it's my stuff... pen, checkbook, wallet, gum/mints, toothpicks, lip balm...kinda boring I guess! Back 10 yrs. there would've been a few lollipops for emergency, paper, crayons, markers pencils you name it, for keeping kids occupied! Fun days! What a cute tote; you're so talented. What's in my bag?? Well, there's a cell phone that I have a hard time remembering to charge and lots of gum. And there's a note pad (which my husband likes to use) and a measuring tape, kleenex, lip gloss, glasses, and on and on.
I have lots of stuff in my purse....I used to have trouble finding anything in it because I wasn't organized. I purchased a couple of small cosmetic bags and use one for my checkbook and that kind of thing and one for my lipgloss and other makeup, etc. and now I can find everything and it makes it easier to keep your purse clean and you can change purses easier. I always keep an Arbonne sample and a business card in there too.

I carry an altered gum pack everywhere! I made one to match my purse, and then at Christmas I made a holiday pack. I am thinking of making a "Welcome Spring" cover soon! They have to have a Swarovski crystal somewhere or some greaet glitter. It is just an Orbit gum box covered and embellished, and then filled with Stride gum!

What's in your purse? Well, all the standard stuff as a 'wife' 'mother' and the 2 things for me are a little 2x3 card that gives fabric yardages needed for various size quilt backings, and a tape measure.

Ok here we go I usually always carry some kind of candy in my purse. Reason is not because I like candy because I'm a diabetic and that helps me when I need it. If little ones see it in my purse they always want it and I can't help and let them have it. So I finally got smart and also carry some glucose tablets. When changing purses that is the first to get in there. The next items are the usual that every women must have money(credit card) lipstick, list of what I'm suppose to pick up at the store. My purse contains a new wallet that I just got yesterday! I ordered a green swirl Lodis symphony off of e-bay for an incredible price! Now you can't deny a great deal! It's so roomy and i love all the card slots and soft feel!
Love the tote, i carry the usual assortment that most of us have, cell, wallet, gum, but i always have a notebook and pen in there. I actually get a little anxious if i don't have one in there. I write lists for groceries, menu plan, things to make, and dates to remember.

Probably the wierdest thing in my purse is a broken Hello Kitty necklace that belongs to my daughter. I keep meaning to get it out and fix it, but it always seems to be in the pocket where I'm looking for change or my credit card...gets pretty strange looks from the checkers in the stores I shop!
Wow - I sure love the colors. Moda always have such nice fabric. The one thing I always have in my purse is snacks for the kids. It never seems to fail that we have been out the door less than five minutes before I hear Mom I am hungry - so I learned my lesson after the first five times and always have the little raisins boxes in my bag.
Like most of you, I have a ton of stuff in my purse, but I'm going to comment on my little notebook where I can jot down important information, etc.

LOVE YOUR TOTE! This is fun! I alway carry huge shoulder bag, although I don't think that I carry that much stuff until I try to squeeze it all into a normal sized one. I have my wallet, checkbook, calender, large sized cell phone, make-up bag, hand sanitizer, hand lotion, spare keys, measuring tape, pocket knife, flashlight, pill holder, gum & mints, comb, spare headband & hair clip, a bottle of Liption diet green tea with mixed berry, envelop with coupons, sunglasses, driving glasses, club phone directory, couple of pens, car key, sometimes my camera. I also have room to put small store purchases in there too or a magazine or two if I'm going to be somewhere waiting.

both my wallet and my day planner are red leather with photo slots - of course, each is adorned with a cute photo of my 4 kiddos...Love them...(my kids and my red leather accessories!) That tote is "tote-ally cool!"

What an absolutely adorable tote...in my favorite colors, too! Love the details...oh so inspiring. What do I carry in my pink purse?! Aside from the essentials such as my wallet, lipstick, tissues, cell phone and keys, the most important item is my guardian angel coin. I keep it in my old-fashioned coin purse (like grandma used to carry), so it's always nearby.
Gorgeous purse you made!!! You really outdid yourself. I know it's uninteresting but I have my work badge in a zipped pocket of my purse. It's the only place to store it so I know I will have it when I need it. The zipped pocket is key because my one year old daughter loves playing in there and I'm usually missing something -think credit card! Lord help me when she figures out the zipper!

My purse is actually a little leather brown backpack. I have the most convenient pocket for money and bank cards and such. And then there's a small zipper pocket where I keep everyone's own chapstick - I have four in there now. And then there's another pocket where I keep my cell phone. And the last and most cluttered pocket is actually the center of the whole backpack where I have bandaids, hand lotion, notebook, pen, the kid's immunization records, nail clippers, tissues, glasses cleaner and cloth, neosporin... really, the list could go on and on. I really love the tote you made and would LOVE to win it!!

That is the cutest tote, you did a great job on it! I've got mostly normal items in my purse, wallet, checkbook, cell phone and I don't go anywhere without my iPod, that's the best thing for sharing my digital photos with family & friends.
I just about have it all, receipts for the month, what ever the family want to take but doesn't want to carry automatically goes in. Lipstick, chapstick, twizers, mints way to many pens, I might be afraid to dig to deep.
What a cool bag! I love it! I just keep the standard stuff in my purse: wallet, ipod, phone and pen and paper. I don't wear much makeup so that kind of thing isn't in my purse.
Ok Mish, yes I carry all of the things you mentioned in your blog, and reading glasses (have hit that age - can't see anything without them), cell phone of course, I work as a personal assistant so I have someone else's money and list of "TO DO's". Oh! I used your idea for Holiday Planner and converted that to a "TO DO List" and carry that around with me every day. It actually started out as a Holiday Planner, but I liked it so much that I just put a new label over the old one and it works great! I have a calendar, pens, pencils, and the usual makeup, medicines, necessary to get thru the day.
This is absolutely stunning! I never was a big pink girl, until I had 4 sons. Now everything is blue and green, and in order to claim something as my own it has to be pink or purple! I would love to win this, because my boys would leave it alone! Wonderful tote!

I have been consistently upgrading to larger and larger purses, so now I carry many many items - a notebook sized calender/planner, wallet, small first aid kit, hand sanitizer, hand lotion, advil, pepto, cough drops, phone, camera, coupons, lipgloss, gum, chapstick, kleenex, fold up travel sized toilet seat covers (for restrooms that don't provide them!) um.. yeah.. that's it, I think.

I just changed my purse and a lot more stuff fits in this one. I have my wallet, antibacterial gel and my keys with a huge key chain so I can find them faster. I also just found I have my digital camera in there.
Love this purse. Your talent never ceases to amaze me. I always carry baby wipes, because I am the mother of a toddler. They come in quite handy on most days.
That's such a great bag! What don't I carry in my purse?!? Definitely always have my camera in it ....plus the charger. It weighs a ton and I'd be so embarrassed if I had to empty the contents as you never know what will come out of it!!!!

One thing I always have in my purse is tweezers. It started after I heard that natural light is the best for tweezing eyebrows--So, yes, I'm the one you see at a stoplight or in the drive thru touching up my brows. LOL :-)

Love the little bag. The most useful item in my purse is my tape measure. You would not believe how many times I use that thing. It is in the shape of a heart and when you pull out the measure it retracts automatically. Everyone is so used to me having it with me now that I am always getting requests to use it, "Mom, can I use that tape measure?"

I used to carry a huge purse that had practically everything in it (but the kitchen sink!!) but I got to where I could lug the thing around anymore! So I downsized and I just carry a few necessities and I have to have wintergreen icebreakers - my 2 yr. old granddaughter is drawn to my purse and that is the first thing she looks for!!
I have all sorts of little treasures in my purse. My favorite is the collection of rocks my son gives to me. He is always on the lookout for just the right rock to give Mom. Love the tote!

This is an asorable tote. When I first saw that your daughter wanted I thought to myself that she should get it. But then you said you were making her one it made me feel better. I seem to carry my own things and sometimes others but the thing I treasure most in my purse is photos of my kids and my grandkids. Then of course the cell phone in case someone needs to get a hold of me.

I have a fairly large wallet stuffed with store cards (why does every store have a card now?) my cellphone, a pen, two lipsticks (I never have time to put it on in the house and always put it on in the car) a Michael's or AC Moore coupon, tissues, mints and Purell.
My purse...it's more of a toy carrier. You may not need a diaper bag after a certain age, but it's not much better to have to pull out a nintendo DS, 3 hot wheels cars, and a half eaten fruit roll up just to find your sunglasses! You're bag is the cutest! What pattern did you use?

The coolest thing in my purse is the the key to my car. I have a Hybrid Camry with Smart Key. As long as the key is in my purse or in a pocket I just walk up to the car door and it unlocks! So I don't have to go digging for my keys anymore! Yay!

As for something in my purse... the most special things that I keep in whatever purse I carry are the prayer cards from my paternal grandparents' funerals. They were very special people to me, and each of the prayers chosen for them remind me of how lucky I was to have them in my life. What a cute bag! OK let me first start by saying I carry a huge Vera Bradley purse and the only things I carry in it is my wallet and my checkbook, it is so empty that it falls over when I sit it down.

My purse has my life in it. It is also my personal savings bank. All my change from shopping get thrown in the bottom. The bills I put away in my wallet the coins are just tossed in there. When my shoulder starts to hurt from the weight of the purse I empty the change and buy myself a little treat. My record was 94.65. Yes that is dollars LOL I do not carry such a large purse anylonger. My shoulder just can't take it!

It is kind of my catch all--my planner, bandaids, crayons, small notebooks for the kids drawing, sunscreen, and if I'm lucky I'll be able to find my lipstick and a compact. It is ok though. There is something sweet about reaching for your wallet and finding a toy car or an obnoxious hair band instead. :)

Mish, Love your tote! Sweet! I made a vow a few years ago not to buy anymore purses. I've have narrowed it down to 4. Brown, Black, green canvas and a pumpkin cloth purse I use in the fall. Wow! I've managed to keeep my promise. However, if I won I would love to use the tote in the spring. I keep the usual stuff in there (loved reading the other comments) but recently I have an ovulation meter in my purse as we see the fertility doctor. My husband and I are trying to have a baby. i always have chewing gum, a hairbrush and tylenol!....
What an absolutly darling tote!! Here's what I carry ... my wallet check books,lip gloss, makeup and mirror, cell phone, Exced Migraine pens, gum, calculator, eye glass cleaner, and tool kit for my nails!

The one thing I always have in my purse/diaper bag/pocket is Lansinoh ointment...it makes great, great, great lip balm:o)

purse...well...i am really, really into clutches lately...i use a clutch for the basics and it can be thrown into my work tote, scrap tote, or a larger purse if needed...a silly/fun item in my clutch...fortunes...i keep 'em...in fact, i have a whole jar of them i have saved over the years...my hubster makes fun of it and my daughter supports the nerdy obsession...so, i stick them in my clutch when we are out eating asian food then when i get the chance, i pop them into my jar...someday i plan on making a cool layout with some of them, but i have to work up to letting some out of the jar!

Wow...what a great little tote!! Anyone who wins this is one lucky gal! Hmm..what do I always carry in my purse? dark chocolate covered altoids, my phone, wallet and of course, lip gloss!

Love your tote! I keep sales receipts in my purse (suitcase). When I can no longer close my purse, I know it's time to file the receipts!
