WOW, love the colors on the bag...TOO CUTE! In my purse I have...work keys, car keys, 2 diapers, small pack of wipes, kleenex, nail clippers, wallet (wish it had money in it..LOL), 2 bottles of Window Chalk from decorating the car for my oldest daughter's cheerleading competition last weekend in Dallas, and last but not least Tylenol. :) Thanks for the chance to win...LOVE your stuff!!

I thought it would be fun to play along with Nichole's challenge so I created this fun little, patchwork tote. It uses Moda and Amy Butler Fabric.
An adorable little tote, finished up with Papertrey Berry Sorbet ribbon handle and a fancy little bow and heart embellishment.
Completely lined and oh so cute! Well, I think so.
With a little somethin' inside.....Butterfinger and Reese's Hearts (I've eaten two from the pack already, my faves!).....snippets of ribbon on a wooden clothespin(available at Dollar Tree)......
....and a little signed by mwah. Card uses Kraft and Vintage Cream cardstock, Berry Sorbet Swiss Dot ribbon and ink, buttons, Simply Stationery stamp set and some cute embellishments I made HERE using Heart Prints(a must have Valentine set!). I tied one onto the bag also.

What an adorable tote! Love the card you made to go with it. Let's see, I have more of a small sling backpack thing to fit diapers. In my wallet, and therefore in my 'purse', is a florist's card from my husband that went with the big bunch of flowers he had delivered to my office desk after our first weekend together!

First...I love berry sorbet! I carry several pictures of my son from age 6 mos to kindergarten (he's 20 now). Once I took all the pictures out and someone thought I had 6 children!! Darling little tote! I have oodles in my purse but the most "interesting" (weird?) thing is probably an itty bitty bottle of tabasco sauce. Yep. I love hot and spicy food and if I order something out that's not spicy enough I can fix it up myself. ;) My other favorite purse goodie is my little photo holder from Brighton that keeps all the pics of my baby girl in it.

Okay, I have refused to carry a "purse" but I could be persuaded to carry a "tote" with me if it were as stinkin' cute as this one! I usually just carry a large wallet with me, and that thing is very Costanza-like. I save coupons if they don't have an expiration date on them---I still have a free game of bowling coming to me that I won over 7 years ago!
I absolutely LOVE that little purse!, it really looks adorable. (and I have seen that man purse Seinfeld episode, too funny when all his receipts fly away!! )In my purse I have a small hat, my gloves, my scarf, a half eaten pack of gum, antibacterial hand spray, my planner with a huge to do list, pack of tissues(can't get rid of this cold!), bandaids, starbucks gift card(have to go use it!!) and up until a few minutes ago some dental floss!
I have everything possible in my purse including bandaids, kleenex, tylenol but most importantly my LIP CHAP!! I love the tote you made and your blog is the greatest!

I can see why she wants it...it's so cute. I always have a pack of crayons in my purse because it can always keep a kid busy when you get stuck in a line. I also have suckers for when the crayons lose interest.

I two little girls so I carry everything we could possibly need...diapers, ponytail holders,chapstick, gum, lipstick, pictures, mini brag scrapbook, bandaids, advil, mini tool kit, cell phone, notebook, pen...oh my gosh the list goes on!

What's in my purse.........I have a measuring tape (like the kind you use when you sew)and all three of my kiddos measurements ~ waist, hips, length. I was tired of returning the wrong size all the time. It is so hard to shop with them, but it's also so hard to shop without them and guess their size. I finally wised up this year for clothes shopping and took along the measuring tape and all of their measurements. It was a huge success with NO returns. I LOVE it and wonder why I hadn't thought of it earlier.
LOVE your bag. I am also a HUGE Amy Butler fan and still have a stash of Gypsy Caravan, Ginger Bliss, and Charm that I just can't seem to cut into. I LOVE Moda too........the Moda outlet is here (Dallas). So fun!
OHMYGOSH! I would give anything to win this darling little tote! I've been carrying a very little Vera Bradley purse, so there isn't room for MUCH in it. I've had to be very selective. The one thing I can't live without is Vitamin E chapstick from The Body Shop.

I love your adorable tote!! I carry in my purse what I call my "happy wallet". My wallet is bright yellow with lots of bright flowers on it. I get a lot of compliments on it. The colors and flowers always make me happy when I am feeling a little blue.

I carry all sorts of things in my purse, but the most unusual item presently in my bad would have to be the collection of Maryland Men's Basketball Ticket Stubs. It's our first year as ticket holders and I'm saving them for a commerative book that's a work in progress.
I don't go anywhere without my camera or my iPod and they have their on special pocket in my purse!
I always carry my camera in my purse... inside a running sock :) I lost my camera sleeve about a year ago and found that a sock works just as well!

Okay, something in my purse. . . those cool Brush Up things that you can use to brush your teeth anywhere, anytime. . . if you don't mind people watching you sticking your finger in your mouth rubbing your teeth! It looks weird but they're awesome in a pinch! And by the way, have you heard that they, whoever "they" are, are calling man purses "murses". Ummmm. . . .

OMG...how stinkin' adorable is this?!? I have noticed, as the mother of a small child, that the weirdest stuff ends up in my purse! I have to be careful when I open it that a used tissue or half eaten cracker doesn't come flying out!

OK well I see that someone else said emergency women necessities...so I'll say this....I have a hidden compartment in my purse with said necessities...and there's nothing worse than sitting in church and giving your kid your purse to play with to shut them up and then find them waving your women stuff around with a big slobber grin goin' on. I tend to only carry what I need in my purse. Wallet w/ a bit of cash, keys, work ID badge, 2 pens (one might not work), a pencil, a tiny notebook for important notes, chapstick, loose change, and a pack of sugarless gum for fresh breath after my morning coffee! As I wrote that, I realized how boring my purse is and at least I could kick it up a notch with your beautiful tote to carry it in. Pick me please! You are so talented. I am very, very jealous.

I keep just the basics in my purse, wallet with check book, a pen or two, and a small makeup bag with a brush. Most times, my actaul purse is worth more than anything I might have inside of it LOL and that includes money!!

Love love love the purse. I adore that ribbon!! My purse has changed over the course of the last 3 years. I went from the "singles" purse (tiny) to a "mommy" purse and now I'm at the inbetween purse. It includes my basics: checkbook, credit cards, pictures, loose change, no money (lol), but most important are all of my club cards from the scrapbook stores! Everything else goes in the diaper bag which I will soon be elimating now that my daughter just got potty trained. lol!

That tote is positively ADORABLE! My goodness, your talents are endless!! True story: my husband gave me a sewing machine in 2002 that is still brand-spanking 'new' in the box, NEVER been opened! He just pulled it out of storage for me yesterday because I AM DETERMINED TO USE IT!! =) Can you believe it?! My purse contains a small two-year planner that rarely gets written in - I of all people should have it worn down and ready to replace, but no, it looks brand-spanking new. =)

That is an adorable tote! Love it! Well, since I have a two year old little boy, my purse doubles as a diaper bag. I recently got a new one that is actually a really useful camera bag. So, my purse has my DSLR, diapers, wipes, wallet, keys, phone, etc. at all times. It also currently has a lot of Tums because this current pregnancy is really giving me heartburn. (We're having a girl this time!)

This is too cute for words! I carry a big purse...can't keep gum in it because the kids are always getting into it and before I know it the gum is gone. My two favorite items are my Nivea lip balm (keep multiple tubes around the house too) and my post it notes for marking my reading. Happy Valentine's Day to you!

In the very bottom of my purse is a little something that makes me happy every time I reach down in for something and feel it. It is a bracelet my daughter saved up all her school "behavior bucks" for to get me. It has a heart on the end of it and she just thought I would love it. It has a toggle clasp on it and is too big for me, and kept falling off my wrist. I was afraid I'd loose it. So, I keep it in my purse and when I am digging through it and find my little reminder of her and what a thoughtful little girl she is, it always makes me smile and brightens my day.
well, i've got 2 kids, so i have diapers, wipees, pens, receipts, snacks, lip gloss, and a myriad of other things...needless to say, it's pretty much a bottomless pit.

My purse is a catch all. Some have a junk drawer in the kitchen, while mine is my purse. At any given time there is 2 baby spoons,apple sauce, a toothbrush, kleenex,baby wipes, 2-4 diappers, teething cookies, gum, even wrapped up half chewed gum when I can't find a bin(ick),a can of diet pepsi, and 4 passports. I live on the border and you never know when I will need to head south to TARGET!

I tried carrying a small purse, but I couldn't fit my wallet in there, so in my purse I carry a tube of hand cream, lighters, smokes-(yes I smoke), keys, money thrown on the bottom, billfold, checkbook, calendar, mints, bandaids, lip therapy (for DD) cell phone, perscriptions, etc.

What I carry in my purse....a beautiful wallet my 11yr old son gave me(with colorful hearts)a pen he pencil he gave me when he was student of the month cuz he said I deserve it for helping him with homework..but best of all my two sons always win small gadgets in claw machines, $.25 machines and at chucke cheese...so I have rings, heart erasers, crazy pencil toppers, furry keychains, i luv mom pins...you name it...but the most valuable things in there...gotta love those boys

With 4 sons its not just ordinarry things, its toy cars, marbles, a dummy (pacifier) - bearing in mind my youngest is now 4 theres no reason why its still in there but i just cant let it go! lol Theres handwash, receipts, all the usual and also a few random sweets/gum that has spilled out of random boxes pushed in there by the kids! *off to have a good sort out now its all listed* ;)

I've generally got a nappy (I have a 14 month old) and often a small toy car (for my 4 year old son) in my bag. And a Weight Watchers muesli bar for me!

What I have in my purse since last summer is my precious iPhone!! At first i didn't see the use of having a new cellphone since I barely use it...but now! There's not one day passing by without me using my iPhone: to check the weather, to calculate something, to take a quick picture, to check out which restaurant is nearby, to check my e-mails or my facebook account, to chat quickly my mother in Canada (I'm in Switzerland), to listen to music in the car, to find out who's singing the song playing in the radio, to take a quick note to myself...... My iPhone is amazing and never leave my purse!! :)

Last summer my husband and I took my grandson on a motorhome trip across the U.S. We stopped at Wall Drug in South Dakota and my grandson bought me a small pewter medallion that says "I love my Grandma." I carry it in my purse and in my heart.

Love that tote! How cute! I so enjoy your blog, Mish. What I carry in my purse - hmmm- let's see. My purse is so heavy my Dr. wants me to get rid of it, I'm becoming lopsided! lol. My wallet, which I could probably do without, (is inside my big purse), holds checkbook, money, gift cards, id, etc. The purse itself holds small scissors, measuring tape, bandaids, Tylenol, sunglasses (yes, even in winter), and old receipts, cell phone, lipstick, small can of coke in case I have low blood sugar and 5000 used keenex's!!

Oh my - how cute is that bag - you are soooo talented! I always have a big purse so I can be prepared for anything (paper, pen, tissues, plasters, comb etc). And I always have a puzzle book in my purse (usually Kakuro or Sudoku) so I can give my brain a workout when I'm on the bus to work, stuck in traffic or waiting for my DH to come out of the hardware store!!

In my bag- just the basics: wallet, cell phone, keys, pen, clear gloss.
I always carry some nail clippers from a manicure set my daughter bought me from teh Mother's Day stall at school. They've saved me a few times, and it gives my daughter such a buzz to know that she has once again, been very helpful to me :)
First I must say that the tote is just adorable!
The most important thing in my purse is a picture of my wonderful husband. He is in the Army and currently deployed overseas. I carry a picture of him all decked out in his ACU's and all of his gear. It's great to be able to pull the picture out and "see" him whenever I want. I am very proud of him.
I also carry around my own packs of Splenda! I love my sweet ice tea and most restaurants in Alaksa only serve unsweetend tea! So I carry Splenda with me just in case!

I never will win but I will always try...Now...my purse...my fav item right now would be the picure that my kids took at Christmas. My son is at the USAFA and my daughter is at MSU..it is the only thing I asked for and they humored me and had this great pic taken. The funny part is the photographer kept posing them as if they were a couple rather than siblings...so it makes for good fun when I share it with others as I miss them so much these days. What good is a purse if you don't carry everything with you? Billfold, debit card, keys, camera, chapsticks, kleenix, bandaid, pens, pencil, notepad, pictures, New Testament Bible, datebook, cough drops (Ricola), tic tacs, nail file kit..... that's about it without looking. My handbag holds everything I consider essential to survival outside the home which, this morning, comprises: purse, keys, mobile phone, comb, small notebook, selection of pens, sun glasses (ever the optimist); current and [long] out-of-date shopping lists, receipts, sweet wrappers, two pieces of string, an elastic band (retrieved from the pavement where the post man dropped it), Polo mints, credit card wallet - which in turn holds a list of phone numbers, money-off coupons, gift vouchers, assortment of store and discount cards (12 in total) and bank notes - a tape measure, angina spray (two years out of date), picture of our cat, Lily, and an id pass (dated June 1985). If I dug right to the bottom of the side pockets there could well be a partridge in a pear tree also!!!!!
How embarrassing! Boy do I hope I never have to turn out the contents of my bag in a public place.

I carry a special forces charm, my son is a green beret currently in Afghanistan and every time he goes, I carry this charm, attached to my zipper pull and its a small way for me to feel like I am supporting him, I take it off when he returns, corny perhaps, but it works for me!

Fuun question and i LOVE the prize!! the "man purse" comment made me giggle, im always talking about that. Not my "husband" but whats with us women carrying all the males items. I swear they have more stuff than we do half the time! Anywhos, my bags usually pretty empty because i change it so often but i tend never to leave without my lip gloss in there :P
I ride the bike to work most days, so I have a backpack... so the wallet is where i keep the things that really matter.... In my wallet there is a Polaroid from a holiday where everybody just looks so happy...

Two things that come in handy are something to read and my agenda, so when I'm on the bus I can always write stuff down or read, so driving on the bus isn't just time wasted waiting! That is the most sweet and sassy bag ever! Is there no end to your talents? As the mom of five small children I have to carry EVERYTHING in my purse. My favorite thing in my purse (besides $cash$) is PlayDoh! Yep I never leave home without a small can of Playdoh. All kids (and kids at heart) love playdoh! It has saved the day on numerous occassions!
I carry all my coupons to Archivers, Michael's and Joann's -- so that when I have a spare 15 minutes and I am in the area I can pick up something I really, really need :-)

I never remove them until I have to then I have enough paper to recycle into a small novel! Wish I could get into better habits but I tend to dump the purse until next time I need it to go out, hence nothing gets removed.

I used to pick up purses that I could put in a bottle and the top of the bottle would just pairly show out the top...now that my youngest is 3 - no longer need that functionality in my purse :) My older three are 11, 8 and 5. I keep as few things in my purse as possible. I have a business card holder in my purse and very rarely ever use it, but I keep it in there because it is in a cool little leather holder :)
Tote is very nice... You will have to pass on the instructions for those of us who quilt as well. In my bag btw is NEVER BIG ENOUGH. The wallet, camera, planner, make up, small note cards incase I run into someone who is having a down day to hand out,receipts (believe me I clean them out every weekend)cell phone, tissues, small candies, advil,and I guess that's it. I love this bag - it is so cute! I am jealous that you can sew too. That is on my list of things to learn. I even bought an expensive sewing machine a few years back and as my husband reminds me 'it does a great job as a door stop in my spare room'
The newest thing that I carry around in my purse is a piece of card stock with the scribbles of all of my copic markers along with their names. It is great to have on hand if you are trying to match it up with paper and embellishments!!

That little purse is so cute! Something I tend to carry in my purse that's a little unusual is my e-book reader. You never know when you might be stuck in a place waiting so I always have it with me just in case.
There are many things that I put in my purse, that things get lost in there! But one of the most important things I carry in my purse is Gentle Naturals Eczema cream. My 5 month old has really bad eczema and I was at my wit's end trying to find a cream that wasn't so greasy but would do a good job keeping his rash in check. First of all, that is the most adorable bag ever!! I can see why Jordan is crazy about it. My purse... I always try to have some lip gloss and gum stashed away - but as you said, the kids are always stealing the gum. I also love to have nice smelling lotion and of course my cell phone and wallet. Usually a pen and a hair clip or elastic, and some kleenex tissue, too. And I always have a bunch of receipts in there when I haven't cleaned it out in a while.

I was once in a business meeting and I was looking for a pen and pulled out a Matchbox car--got a huge laugh from the crowd.

I carry the bare minimum...my hubby bought me a beautiful little Coach purse after my daughter was born and its a type of mail bag so it doesn't fit a whole lot....the way I like it. The bigger it is, the more crap I can fit in it!
I am always teased for what is in my purse. "Everything but the Kitchen sink." LOL! The basics if you have kids, kleenex, tylonal, mini hand sani, bandaids....i pod, cell phone, etc. etc. etc.

As for what is in my purse, sshhhh, don't tell "my dad" - I have become my mother. When I was younger my mom had so many bank envelopes in her purse. Each envelope had a purpose (insurance, car payment, etc.) Well when you open my purse all you see are envelopes, but they don't have a purpose they are empty! LOL Thanks for the chance to win!

As a mom of a toddler I always have baby wipes in my purse. they're great for wiping sticky fingers after a snack or wiping the grocery cart handles before my little one rides.
Love the tote and the goodies, too! Right now in my purse I have a set of Nestabilities (might need when I'm shopping for a project), a VHS tape of my 4-yr-old nephews singing their ABC's (they are now 26!), Michael's coupons, and various other things that we need to tote around with us!
Mmmmmm.......the one item in my purse that I make sure is always there is a stone from a beach in Wales Great Britain. Its my comfort stone that I hold in my hand when things get overwhelming.

No matter how big or small my purse, I always have at least 1 lipstick (most times it's more like 5 or 6), a lip liner (or 2 or 3 or 4), and lip gloss (again - numerous glosses). Of course, I can't go anywhere without my credit cards, planning calendar, and note pad in my purse. Since I am somewhat of a computer geek, I also almost always carry a USB memory stick in my purse as well - it has come in very handy!

I have tried to down-size on the purse, so it wouldn't be so heavy, and I think I have finally met with success. Tweezers and a nail file are absolute necessities - you never know when one or the other will come in handy! The tote is absolute adorable, and I can understand my Jordan doesn't want to let it go!
