I have to say that I had never made an Artist Trading Card (
ATC) before Nichole asked the
Papertrey team to do one for a special assignment. Be sure to check out
Nichole's blog today to find out more. Above is my first ATC that I made, and it's part of a very special prize Nichole is giving away. You won't want to miss out. And check out
Lauren's blog today also for a special
PTI countdown post. And
Heather and
Melissa also have some new things to share.
Well, I got so inspired that I needed to do more
ATC's. Not for trading or collecting, but as fun additions to cards. I started out by stamping some strips and circles, using Pine's
Around & About Sentiments set. The flowers on the insides are from
Floral Frenzy.
Next, I cut some
PTI recipe cards down to
ATC size cards. I also cut a
Spellbinder's Scalloped Rectangle for the backing, a larger circle for the accent piece and I stamped some polka dots from
Polka Dot Basics onto Kraft
card stock.
Then I assembled all my pieces to make
ATC's. I inked the edges in Fresh Snow ink and added some Aqua Mist ribbon, held in place with a few *messy stitches* from my sewing machine. These little guys are cute and fun to make. Such a small little size to work with.
Then all I had to do was decide on some patterned paper(Basic Grey) and ribbon. The rest was pretty easy
peasy...just adhere your
ATC's to the card fronts. I did some additional polka dot stamping on the card base and also inked the edges with Fresh Snow ink.
These were so fun to make! Have you made
ATC's? Do you trade them with friends? Perhaps you should try adding some to card fronts. They make great focal points on cards. Enjoy!

very cute! I would love to see a close up of the ATC you made for the frame. :) Such a neat idea!
What Great Sassy little cards. Love the colors and paper choice.
Going to put make a few ATC's on my To Do List of Enjoyment ... Thanks for the inspiration Mish!
Great idea! I have never made one although I started a couple of times.. I have a plan (ha!) to make them as a sort of journal (if that makes sense). I bought the 7 gypsies carousel, which is sitting empty! I love what you did with yours, and how you used them on a card! Thanks!
Uh...no idea what Artist Trading Cards are....? Do cardmakers get together at these craft shows and hand them out like business cards? LOL Whatever they are - your little cards are adorable, Michelle
So glad to see you are making ATCs.. what a great idea to attach them to cards! I've been in an ATC club for about a year... they are very addicting! (sorry if this is a repeat post... blogger was giving me trouble)
Love em', Love em', Love em'! You're the best! Thanks for sharing...You inspire me so deeply.

I've NEVER made an ATC before Mish, what is the size on them? Yours are very sweet...of course! I would just LURVE to win that frame with all the individual cards in it!! WOW, what a treasure that would be! I hope I guessed right!! HUGS!
I've heard of ATC's before, but I don't really know what they're for! Yours are adorable, though! :) And seeing these cards makes me realize that I NEED the fresh snow ink.. It shows up so well!

Signature beauty!! TFS.
What a great idea! ATC sized framed on a "wall of fame!" This wall is in my main hallway where I have a 12X12 frame that I switch out my fav scrapbook page.
You are my favorite PTI designer and the first blog I visit each morning!
