How 'bout a little recipe for today? We'll be going to a little end of summer family get together this weekend if the rain stays away...and dips are always good to bring. I always love to get recipes from family and friends, because then you always have that memory of the first time you tasted the recipe. This recipe came from my niece who made all the snacky stuff at my nephew's high school graduation party. Yummo!!
The recipe card measures 4" x 6", all text is printed from my computer. I used the Lockhart Indian Corn stamp, Copic markers and a Spellbinders label die for the main image. The patterned paper strip is from Crate Paper. Hope you enjoy! Got any good dip recipes to share?Here's the recipe so that you can copy and paste into a word document, or print from my blog:
Corn Dip
2 cans Mexicorn, drained
1 can Rotel tomatoes, drained
3 green onions, chopped
1 cup mayonnaise (not Miracle Whip)
1 cup sour cream
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
Mix all ingredients together and chill. Serve with tortilla chips.

Here is one for you:
Taco Dip
1 pkg dry Taco seasoning
2 cups sour cream
1/2 cup miracle whip
I use this in my 7 layer mexican dip, but love it alone!!
your dip card is very cute, and i'm sure your daughters love their growing collections (if this is one for them). here's a dessert dip i really like:
Cleur de Creme
8 oz. cream cheese at room temp. (you can use 1/3 less fat version but not fat free)
7 oz. bar of white chocolate (real, not bark) melted
3/4 C. powdered sugar
1 1/4 C. whipping cream
1-10 oz. box frozen unsweetened raspberries, thawed
1/4 c. sugar
cheesecloth
Combine cheese, powdered sugar, chocolate and 1/4 C. cream and mix well with mixer. Beat remaining whipping cream until stiff. Fold into other mixture. Moisten cheesecloth by running under water and wringing until damp dry (no water drips from it). Place cheesecloth in 8x8 or 9x9 glass dish. Pour mixture into it. Fold cloth over so no mixture is exposed to air. Chill. Use cheesecloth to lift from dish and transfer to plate. Remove cheesecloth and discard.
Blend raspberries with sugar (strain if desired) and drizzle over cleur de creme. Serve with table crackers and try to eat just one cracker's worth!

Thanks Michelle for sharing another recipe. I can't wait to try this one too. I made your chicken (with bacon and dried beef) this past weekend and my family is raving about it! An absolutely fabulous recipe! It was sooo delicious - my 84year old mother asked if I bought it! Never entered her mind that I followed a recipe from scratch! So complements to you the chef extraordinaire, and I guess I need to do more kitchen duty to remind my family that I can do more than hit "4 minutes" on the microwave.
Your end of summer dip sounds yummy. Here is one for fall:
Apple Dip
Mix together: 8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Layer into a serving dish.
Pour 1 jar of caramel sauce over the cream cheese mixture.
Scoop up with apple slices....
