I'd love to see tutorials with specific recommendations for groups of markers that work well together for blending.
Today I have some pretty cards to show you using Papertrey's Year of Flowers: Violets stamp set.
This pretty version reminds of a variegated version that I saw online while checking out various Violet varieties. I colored them with my handy dandy Copic Sketch markers. I can remember how fun it was to color in a new color book with a new set of Crayons. Coloring with Copics is just as fun!!

The sentiment from my card is from Signature Greetings from Papertrey. I finished off my card with some paper from My Mind's Eye, Vintage Buttons tied with Rustic Cream Twine and some pretty ribbon from my stash (source unknown).
At this time, I'd like to extend a warm welcome to the Copic Certification Team. The wonderful and talented Jenn Balcer is on board now. Please visit Jenn's blog and give her a big warm hello!! To celebrate, Copic is giving away an empty, 24 piece Copic marker storage wallet, pictured below.
To be entered for the Copic prize, please leave a comment on THIS POST, giving me an idea of what sort of blog posts you'd like to see using Copic markers. I will leave the comments open until Friday, 8am Central Time. Anonymous entries will be tossed. Good luck!

Congrats to the new team member---what an exciting event!
As for what I'd like to see--coloring of animals--like cows, bears, etc...using blacks and greys. That's a big challenge for me.
I love to see "tips" on using your copics - those little secrets that us "mere mortals" often overlook, like certain colours that add to a metallic look, how to use greys/blues/browns to give a shadowy look (both on the image and on the ground shadow).
Thanks for the chance to win such a fab prize. I love my 36-count wallet, but it's a bit big to stow in my purse!
I'd like to learn about how to color hair and clothing better on stamps.
Hi Mish! I love your blog and visit it daily. Thank you for all the wonderful inspiration you give to me. I am a new copic user and so basic coloring tips are great and I like Janet's comments, animals would be awesome.
How fun! I am also new to Copics, I would love general tips on shading and blending. :)
I love your cards and I love my Copics.... I could sure use that case too.... thanks for the chance...
Harriet
oh nice, I sure wish I had copics to start with ;)
I guess I really need to do more than just collect Copic markers. I would love to see trying to stay in the lines while coloring in the tiny spots. Sometimes I feel that the tip of the marker is just too big to get those small spaces.
stamp on...
I would love to see like the process you do to blend colors and shading them. What are the best stamp pads to use for copic markers, best storage and just basic tips.
I would love to see hair color combos and blending and like blue jeans and animal fur
Welcome to Jenn! I can shade copics fairly well, it's the light source I'm having trouble with. I understand the concept but I think my images must have multiple light sources.....???? Could use some help in determining the source and following thru....
I would love some tips on picking two or three colors to use together and then blending them! :)
Great addition to the team!! I also am new to coloring with copics and would love some tips on shading. I so enjoy your blog!!
I love using my Copics and would like to pick up any techniques I can to make my colouring look better. I'd like to learn where to see where the "light is coming from. It's something I struggle with. I just don't get it and need some help.
I love your inspiration and visit your blog daily. I fairly new to the world of copics. I would love to see colors combinations that you use as well as some of the secrets to success that you use. I love how you color your leaves and I haven;t been able to master that yet.
I'm so new to copics that I need to learn everything but also would like to see stuff with puppies on them.
I am a Copic user wannabe, so thanks for the giveaway and ANY tutorial about the basic use of them would be helpful to me.
Congrats to Jen. She is very talented. I would like to see more about shading stamped images. I never seem to get it right...KWIM?!
THAT IS AWESOMMMEE NEWS!! :) I actually am a visual learner so if maybe you could do videos. As far as coloring as much as you want to share is fine by me!
Congrats to the new team member!

What a sweet card. I really love that ribbon, it really sets off the paper. Sorry to say I don't own any Copics so I don't have any ideas for you.
Hello!!!!! That's usefull we learn color gradient
So thanks.
=)
Congrats!!! I still have trouble with shadows so any help with that would be amazing.
Congrats. I would love to see skin color.
Thanks!
I just bought my first copics this week.....so ANYTHING would be great. I can't wait to play with them. I've been checking out tutorials, but have yet to dive into it. Love following your blog.
Copics (or any marker for that matter) is intimidating to me so I would love to see your shading and blending tips.
I just love your blog! I would love seeing demos on the coloring and blending with copics. Thanks for all the inspiration!
I am just learning to use copics so I would like any and ALL tips!!
How exciting!!! Anything you do with the Copics is wonderful. I am still learning :) Tutorials on your ribbon

I love the use of Copics for flowers, but I'd really like to see the coloring of hair.
I would love to see some basic coloring tips. I lo ve your blog. Thanks for the inspiration
I'd so appreciate tips or tutorials on your way of coloring. When you use copics, the results are just amazing, and I'd love to know your technique. Thanks for the chance to win!!
I'm a new Copic user, so the detailed tutorials are GREAT! The step by step type, explaining as you go. Shading is the thing that I need more practice at.
How exciting!!! I enjoy all of your work. I would love to see your take on the Enjoy the Ride car!!! From Papertrey Ink...... or what ever you would like to excite us with!
Your violets are amazing!!!
I'm still a Copic beginner, so really any tips would be welcome. Love them, but there is a definite learning curve! This storage wallet would be so nice to have!
I would love to see a post on what paper/ink combos work well together. I have problems with the copics bleeding past my inked lines.
I would love to know how to layer colors. Are the lower numbers darker colors? How do I buy colors that will coordinate with each other? So many colors, not enough money. I love your blog and visit it often. You inspire me to try new things. THANKS
Fun to have a new team member! What a fun giveaway too!
I love using my Copics, too. I'd like to learn how to color flesh tones. I'm never sure which colors to use. That has really been hard for me!
beautiful colors and coloring as always, Mish! I would love to see a step-by-step of your coloring! perhaps a video? I love watching people color and usually learn something new each time I watch someone color. thanks! =)
I am pretty new to Copics and still am weary of using them because I can't quite get colors to blend correctly. I would love to read or see via video your step by step instructions on how to use Copics. Your projects and flowers always turn out so beautifully!
I have a few Copics, so really any instruction on coloring with them is helful to me! I would say more in depth instruction on how shading and "hi-lites" are colored would be most helpful to me.
Thanks for the chance to win! :)
I love to see tricks and tips that are not obvious to me as a beginning user. I'm a copier, not an original artist per se, so I love to get all the help I can with ideas and implementation. You do a wonderful job of that :)
I'd like to know more about the shading - I just don't seem to get it right.
i'm just getting started with the copics, so i would love to see tutuorials using the pti stamp sets (hopefully the ones i own - i'm getting all the year of the flower sets) and coloring them using the pti trio colors (because that's where i've started my copic collection) this would really help me!
Hope to win... Projects are great
I love my Copics, but boy do I have a lot to learn! I would love to see more hints about coloring and shading hair and skin.
I just love visiting your blog and learning all sorts of new things. Your work is just beautiful. I just purchased my first copics and have been playing around with them. Any tips you suggest on your blog would help me learn more. Thanks again for all your inspiration.
Michelle,
Cute card, thanks for sharing.
Jeanine
I think just step-by-step tutorials, so we can learn more about coloring w/copics.
Thanks for the chance to win!!!
I'd like to learn more about shading around the outside of the image using grays, yellows and blues. Learning light and shadow techniques when an image is resting on a surface...like a teapot, coffee cup, or bike tires etc. Thanks Michelle !
Congrats to Jenn!!! I'm new to copics and would love any tips as to getting shading done correctly.
I love the inspiration that I get from you blog. I wish I had your talent! I am fairly new to copics and would love any "tricks of the trade". I would also love to learn how to use the colorless blender. Thanks again for a wonderful blog!
I love the creative things you post all the time. I just bought my first Copic markers in a pack. How to shade and blend would be the first thing I need to learn. I hope I can get the hang of it.
Jeannie
since i can't color and stay inside the lines anything showing how to color and shade would be great to learn..thank you for the chance to win some copics.
Love your coloring of flowers. I need to practice flower - always coloring little girls now for some reason :). I would love to learn how to create patterns with the markers.
Welcome and congrats to Jenn!
I'm new to Copics and love them but I'm still learning by watching and reading tutorials. So, that is what I'm always looking for.
I would have to say....how do you color hair and skin! I am just learning about Copics and am enjoying seeing all the great cards made with them. You are doing a fabulous job with the flowers and I have learned so much from visiting your blog. Keep up the great work!
I am a subscriber to her blog as well as yours--I sure know how to pick them--LOL. Thanks for the chance to win. I have trouble with skin, not sure where to make it darker or lighter. Thanks for any help you might offer.
You guys are all so talented. I would be happy to get anything about Copics. I would however be interested on how to stamp on shrinky dinks and color with my Copics without it smearing. COngrats Jenn. Lisa G at l_gobea@yahoo.com
Your work and blog have been an inspiration to me and my love of Copic markers. I practice regularly, but still haven't mastered shading and shadows. I'm like many others -- I just love learning new techniques so that I can become as talented as Mish! :-)
I love my Copics and I get better with practice but I love when accomplished Copic users give those little insider tips that make it look so professional. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent so often. Your blog is my absolute favorite and I read quite a few AND I'm not just saying that ;)
I love when you use the glitter pens and would like to see the ideas for those.
Like to see how the light blue is taken & is gone around the stamped image. Along with making a puddle below the image.
Blending is always a nice item and how to go about doing this.
Thank you for the prize. Very nice.
Always love your ideas and images.
Oh I would love to see anything Copics. I am a new Copic marker user and am looking for any tutorials or techniques that are available! I particularly struggle with where to place shadows or shadding.
I would love a fruit tutorial... coloring still life with copics is baffling!
Thanks for the opportunity to win <3
I love the tips you already regularly drop as you share all your gorgeous creations! As someone new to using Copics they are so VERY helpful!
I still need to learn more on shading and blending BUT your blog is certainly one of the best places to see both these techniques being practiced!
I love your tips and having the colors presented really makes it that much easier for me to understand. I'd love to see more in depth Tuts on blending, skintones and fun textural effects.
Copics terrify me, so anything you choose to do that's step by step is wonderful! Thanks for all the help!
I'd love to see how to erase boos! It's difficult for me to color small images - how do you do it? It would be great to see!
I'd like to see some dahlias and daffodils. Yes, tips would be great, too.
About Copics only: I love to see how you colour things - flowers, backgrounds, how to make shadows around things, how to make things pop of the page. I love seeing finished projects but would also like to see a few step by steps with layering colour.
Thanks for the chance to win :) I enjoy seeing your projects each day!
I would love to see a video tutorial showing how to use the copic markers.
Emma Marion
I am very new to copic markers so I would love to see some tutorials!
Oh and a certification class in europe would be nice as well!
I like to see tips and instructions as how how an effect is achieved. Thanks
I love seeing 'beginner' tutorials using copics.
I am still on the fence with copics and I need to see more ways to use them to justify the expense.
I've bought enough Copics to fill that wallet ;) but I'm still intimidated by them. Weird to be intimidated by an inanimate object, but I see your beautiful creations and think...I can't do that! Beginner projects, to help build skills and confidence would be greatly appreciated. LOVE the ribbon on this card...beautiful!
TFS,
Barb
I would love any tips on using copic markers; from basic use to what colors to use together on leaves to make them look real. Actually, anyway you use your copics would be great! You have a wonderful blog...Thanks
I would love to see more about shading. Congrats on the new member.
how fun! i've really become obsessed with copics in the last year. i'd like to learn more about putting shadows under objects - just as it would have one if "real" light shone on it.
I would love to see larger images colored. The car you've colored over the past week is wonderful, it helps me see how to incorporate a light source into coloring. Thanks!
Love your blog, you have such wonderful cards and projects. I would love to see some tutorials on using the airbrush. I have yet to even open mine and don't know why I am so intimidated! Thanks for a chance to win!
I'd like to see more on executing a nice background, or "halo" around the image. I'm so limited in what I do, but I love it! Thanks for the chance!
I would love to see more about shading, I am fairly new at colouring with copics and recently purchased some prisma pencil crayons and some gamsol but really don't know much about shading with them
thanks
I would like to see more about shading. It is where I have the most trouble. Thanks for the chance to win the wallet. What a wonderful way to travel with a few of my Copics
I've kinda gotten down how to color flowers and maybe some animals (small images of them!), but hair, faces, jeans, and vehicles. So I guess I want to see the same stuff as Lesley, rudie2shoes, yvette, Susan, Caren, thestampinglady, and most all the other gals. :)
Just keep coloring the great way you do..I check out your blog daily and love when you put together all the colors you do. Shading and texture techniques are always inspirational.
I'm a Copic newbie. I would be thrilled to learn anything you care to share. From basics to tips and tricks, techniques - anything to get me jump started with this wonderful medium.
I don't have any copics but would love to own a few! I'd need any tutorials on basic use progressing to more advanced tutorials. Thanks for a chance to win!
Any tutorial would be wonderful. I have a few Copics and would love to know how to properly use them before I purchase more.
Thanks so much for your amazing blog....I've learned a lot from you!
Love that Copic is growing so much!! I love anything that show step by step. But, I also just love anything you show!
Congrats to the new DT member and thanks for letting us make requests. I would like some tips on coloring glass (vases, etc.)
I'd love to see more of your clever embellishments.
carol b.
I am a new "Copicaholic"...I was so amazed at what can be done with these pens that I budgeted the purchase of two markers per pay day and I now have a nice collection (far from the 370+ total set, but still enough to achieve nice results). I struggle with colors bleeding, so any info on recommended brands of ink & brands of paper would be great! PS. Your Easy Squeezy Lemonade recipe is amazing (found the Fresca at Hugo's).
Congrats and welcome to the new Copic team member and the chance for a fabulous prize.
I'd love to see more general tips on use of Copics and hints. Would love ideas on how to make images pop. I love how you show what colors you've used to color an image. That is a huge help.
I love your blog Mish and I check it out for my daily dose of inspiration and brightness.
I love step by step tutorials -- so I know what the coloring is "supposed" to look like before I go on to the next step!
Thanks for the chance to win!
Congrats on adding Jenn...her work is awesome. I'd love to see more coloring techniques, and ways to really color a "glass" look.
Fabulous card! Love that ribbon and your wonderful coloring.
Tips and tutorials on coloring with Copics would be fabulous! For example, incorporating 'light' and 'shadows' would be great.
Cool giveaway! I've been coloring little squares from Quilter's Sampler lately - I'd love to see more of these tiny works of art :)
Very pretty card. I have that stamp and have used it so often. It's a really fun stamp to color and practice blending and shading because the segments are large. I have a bunch of colors but not a lot of dark, med, light in each color so tricks for blending would be helpful for me.
Love visiting your site everyday. Since I am a beginner with Copic, more basic tips with coloring.
I'd like to learn about blending - I see it all the time and just can't get it right.
I would love to see how to blend using the copics.... what kind of ink to stamp before using copic to colour, maybe the basics first since I don't think I blend properly :P
I have taken a copic class from a scrapbook store and now know that the more you practice, the better you will be. But I love the technique blogs best...where you show us how you actually colored an image.
I just went to a COPIC Certification class two weeks ago! I would like to see instruction on hair, clothing and animals.
Hi Mish,
I follow your blog every day and really get inspired by your beautiful work. I haven't begun to work with Copics yet because I don't know where to begin or how. I would love to learn about the basics and which colors to begin with. How about a tutorial?
Thanks!
I like to see all coloring. I am just starting out with my copics and love to learn what others are doing.
Love your cards and blog....how about techniques on shading and using your light source. We can all use reinforcement with that.
I always need help coloring flowers and people - skin and hair. Thanks!
I'd love to see tutorials with specific recommendations for groups of markers that work well together for blending.
I like TIPS on products and also color combinations....anything and everything..

I'd love to see some basics on copics including what colors make sense to start the addiction/collection. Your violets are lovely. I think it's great that you do some research before just pulling out the markers.
I would love to see more tutorial type blog posts - I'm not innately artistic so I don't always understand how to color using shading, blending, etc. Thanks for a chance at a fun prize!
What a fun giveaway!
As for tips, I think I just need to see shading more. But you always have great tips and I love to just look at the pieces you've colored. You're so artistic!
I'm already Copic certified but I am having trouble with the light source - so this would be very helpful to me
So exciting to have your team grow! I've left Jenn some love on her blog too...
I tend to shy away from background stamps that feature large areas. It seems overwhelming to me, so I'd like to see tutorials on that.
Thank you for a chance to win a great wallet. It would be so nice to be able to take some copics along while I wait...
Love and hugs ~
Lori
Everything with Copics is a challenge to me... I am just getting started and my black ink always runs into whatever color copic I am using.. what's up with that !!! Please help !!! and thanks for the chance to win lll
I would like to see how you can incorporate the "rainbow" colors in any project so that you are using all of the colors of the rainbow together side by side to make the picture you decide to draw vibrant.
Love my copics - I too need help with the light source...every explanation just falls on dumb ears, I guess! Also just the general q&a like paper, ink, etc. to use. Hmmm...and while we're at it, how about coloring clothing/faces to make it really pop (without the airbrush system).
Large space images would good. Anything you do is OK with me!! I love all your cards. Take care:)
Congrats to Jenn! I'd love to see various coloring techniques and tutorials, I check in with your blog pretty regularly! Thanks for the opportunity to win the Copic marker wallet!
I'd like to learn how to color hair in different shades like red, blonde etc and skin coloring.
I love your card. The violets are stunning. I am new to Copics, love using them, but anything to arrive at how you did the violets would be great. Shading, Blending. Thanks for the great fun
Thanks for the inspiration. just learning and look forward to growing my copic collection.
There is not much you leave for a die hard to experience. All of youer tutorials are fantastic. The biggest things with copics is that sometimes I have a hard time making them blend. They seem to dry too fast. Any help on this would be appreicated. Thank YOU!
Your blog is so inspiring and informative. I haven't taken the Copic plunge yet, but I am really wanting to dive in.
I would like to know how to color hair, skin tones, and birds.
I like to see how you color faces.
Hi Michelle:
Your beautiful ribbon is May
Arts ribbon.
Love the color combo.
