Vintage Easter Postcards

Happy Easter Peeps! I hope you are spending time with your family and having a blessed day. My dad gave me these old postcards that were written on by his grandmother Cora.
I thought these Easter ones were especially pretty.
I love the old time images, so soft and serene. It seems there were always little chicks on lots of them.
And the beautiful handwriting is exquisite. So flowing and loopy and pretty.
Thank you all for blessing my life. You're the reason my blogging has so much meaning. Have a happy day. It's beautiful here in Kansas today. Storms are to pass through tonight so we're going to enjoy the time outdoors. Maybe hide some eggs.

The old things give us a link to the past. Today I made ham with my husband's grandmother's recipe, pie with my grandmother's recipe, and served it on their serving plates. Vintage has worth. Happy Easter to you and yours.

Wow, you are so lucky to have those! How beautiful, and special...like you said, soft and serene! I wish I had the cards that were in my Grandmother's old chest of drawers...I remember they were there, but that was decades ago, and I know they are gone now. So sad. If only we cherished those old things when they aren't old!!!
Hope you had a great weekend...thanks for sharing the special post cards!!! :D

Lovely! Do you think someday your great granchildren or great nieces will hold one of your cards and feel the same blessed nostalgia? Nice thought, hmm? We, too, are going to enjoy the gorgeous sunshine here in Kansas.

Michelle-Hope you and your family had a sunny and fun Easter. Here in PA the day was just wonderful. Well I just LOVE your vintage Easter postcards. I search the web all the time for vintage postcards. I came across a couple of great sites and CD's to buy. I like to use them for marking cards for certain occasions and special people in my life. Those postcards are wonderful and a real treasure. And you're so right - the handwriting of that day was absolutely exquisite. I remember seeing an autograph book that belonged to my grandmother and every single page was filled with writing so much like the postcards you have. Even the MEN wrote like that. Unbelievable! Hope your Easter was lots of fun. It was a beautiful day in the Chicagoland area most of the day until the thunder and lightening started in the early evening! But it's back to being beautiful today. Yay, Spring!

Michelle - love all your great ideas! I have some vintage postcards that I love and so I scanned them on our home computer and then I just print the images whenever I want on sturdier matte photo paper or cardstock and then I can use the awesome vintage images in my card designs! Have a great day!
