Happy Cupcake Day...Holiday Style

Guess what? The new Spellbinder's Nestabilities are being shipped!! Grab 'em while you can! The card I made for today showcases the Label 1 die on the red layer. I love the shape and I know you all have been waiting for it! You can check out Ellen's blog HERE to find out what she has in her store.

Some other new stamping supplies I've been using are Karen Lockhart's new Christmas images. Today I used the darling Holly Cupcake image that I've colored with my Copic markers to match my patterned paper. I cut out the image and embossed it with a Spellbinder's Circle Nestabilities die template. I just love the bright, cheery colors on this card. I think it will be perfect for a December birthday.
And if you check out this view below you can see that I added some of my favorite Ranger Glossy Accents to the berries to make them shine. I love that look!! Background patterned paper is My Mind's Eye. Solid cardstock and ribbon from Papertrey Ink. Sentiment from Karen Lockhart.

Have you started your holiday card stash yet? Have you been working on Christmas cards? It's almost November so it's a good time to get a head start. Have fun creating this holiday season.

Note: I laughed out loud at some of your comments about snoring husbands. The one about wanting to put a pillow over your husband's face til there is no more signs struggling.......OMG, hilarious!!!! I feel your pain girls. Luckily my husband isn't always like this, just when his allergies act up. Tis that season though for him. I told him I'm not going to leave my bed anymore and he's agreed that he has to be the one to leave the room....we're making progress. Okay, gotta ask.......who has pinched their husband's noses while they're snoring just to watch what happens? ME! (raising hand high)

After my husband gained weight, he started snoring sooooo loud that it was incredible. Then he denied that he snored and said it was me.

One night he went to bed early, and I was downstairs watching TV and kept hearing something odd. After muting the TV, I realized it was him snoring UPSTAIRS on the OTHER SIDE OF THE HOUSE!

I grabbed my cell phone, called his number at work and let it go to his voicemail. Then I said, "This is me speaking, so guess who this is snoring" and then I went into our bedroom, crouched next to the bed and held the phone up near his face. I squatted there for a good 3 minutes. Then I just hung up the phone.

He called me the next morning when he got to work to tell me "very funny." Then he went on a diet and lost 30 pounds and the snoring.

Now I have gained 10 pounds in the past year, and I am the one getting the elbow and the "roll over" command. How embarrassing for me after giving him such a hard time!

What a cute card. Very cheerful. I ordered the label nesties and should have them today. Very excited. I am a severe type A, my christmas cards have been done for months. I just have to address them and away they go. I usually send them on Dec 1. Now I am working on the invites for our company Christmas party.

Love your card and yes, I am guilty of pinching my hubby nose while he sleeps. His snoring gets way out of hand some nights. I told him sometime I am going to stick Cheetos up his nose and see what happens. (Of course he didn't see the humor in that) Good luck with the snoring! :o)

I haven't pinched his nose yet, but I did threaten the last before last to tape his mouth shut with duct tape! Remember, duct tape fixes ANYTHING! :-)

First off, your card is gorgeous! I will have to purchase that label die. LOVE it!

Second, my hubby used to snore so loud that I'd sleep in the spare room (this was after years of elbowing and pinching his nose). Now he has a CPAP machine for sleep apnea.

Well....I've gained some weight and guess what I'm doing lately? Yep, paying him back. ;-)

Are you kidding- YES YES I have pinched his nose and he wakes up and ask what I'm I doing??? Most of the time I just push real hard. It used to be me that snored now it is him. The shoe is on the other foot or nose should I say. LOL

Mish, I could tell you funny stories of how I tried to to wake up a snoring husband, but I'm just going to tell you this--- buy and use ear plugs!!!! They are truly life savers. I get mine at The Mart (WalMart) and I usually only put one in so I can hear the kids, and keep my ear that is up plugged. Honestly you will love me and I will be your new BFF-- look out Becky Higgins!!!

LOL - I haven't pinched my hubby's nose while he's snoring yet - I should try that sometime! =P I usually just jab him with my elbow and tell him to roll over.

Beautiful card!!!

Oh and Mish - I know you don't know me - but I blog-stalk you on a regular basis - and LOVE your projects!!!! I've awarded you an "I <3 your blog" stamp - please come by and check it out!

Hugs, Jen

That's such a cute card!!! I had to laugh at all the snoring stories. My husband can make the walls shake with his snoring. I actually put a pillow to his face one time just to stop the noise. LOL!

Yummy card! I ordered this set two months ago from Crop Stop so mine should be here very soon!! I told my hubby to sleep with two pillows, makes the world of difference in his snoring.

I have never pinched hubby's nose while he is snoring. I have rattled the sheets, poked him, talked loudly. It gets him to change position...then the snoring begins again, and I leave the room. I have heard the snoring all the way down in the basement (2 stairwells away)...I don't know how he doesn't wake himself, I know he has disturbed the kids on occasion. He will NEVER leave the room - his noise is my problem. SIGH.

My hubby snores sometimes, and I can't sleep when he does (no surprise there). What I've found that works for us/me (or him, if he doesn't want to have his nose pinched...thanks for that idea, Michelle! lol) is when nudge him (with a quick jab from my elbow if my trying to wiggle him awake doesn't work). He then turns over on his side (he only snores when he's sleeping on his back...and I've heard that's the only time you can???). Works every time. ;D Maybe it will work for you too and then your hubby won't have to be kicked out of his own bed, leaving you all alone. Unless you like it that way, then just forget you read this. lol
