Back again with some sewing goodness. Recently found the pattern to make this bag while visiting a local quilt shop......
And was so inspired by the colors on this bag found on Pinterest by Blueberry Park.
Picked out these fabrics plus a few more + some wonderful linen I found at my local thrift shop.
Can't wait to find time to stitch it all together.
And I found a new shop that sells the coolest stuff. I bought this coin purse made from upholstery + this fun crocheted flower that I'll add to my quilty bag. Love to shop local.
Got any sewing projects of your own happening in your neighborhood? I'd love to see hear about them!

Love you bag,so fresh and summery. I've been bag making too this summer, and loving it.
Haven't done any quilt making but would love to have a go.
Hugs Carol xx
I love the quilts that you Melissa are going to make. Can't wait to see the blocks that you get done. I haven't been sewing much- too busy in the garden. I have the tops of a couple of pillows done, now I need to find the time to make them up. So much to do, so little time!
Just finishing up a bunch of napkins, using patriotic fabric I bought on clearance last year. I also need to finish a vintage apron that I cut out 2 years ago! Need to piece together a quilt bag (with fabric bought 1 year ago).
It's all about the journey...right?
Love all those photos. Can't wait to see your finished bag. No sewing here, but I just posted some photos of a bag that my daughter felted. It is so cool! here is my blog address if you want to check it out: http://www.frommybungalow.blogspot.com
You're really making me want to pull out my quilt and get sewing! Love the pretty fabrics you found and that flower is fab! Are you aware of stitchsteals.com? They have some fun fabrics and good prices.
I;ve been following your blog for quite a while and I love all your "quilt"projects. This bag is breathtaking!Wow!
Very Very Cute!!! Would love to get those patterns. Can you give us a resource or tell us the name of the pattern? Thanks for sharing!
I am so jealous you can sew so well. It has been my goal to at least learn the basics on a sewing machine and sew on cards. I am still trying to move in that direction. I am a little intimidated. But I love seeing what others are able to make, it is all so beautiful and inspiring.
I'm leaving the sewing to you! Would love to buy one of your quilted bags from your Etsy shop. Will you save me one or can I special order? Love the braiding on the handles!
