Project Life Week of Feb 27 + Week of March 6

*sigh*..still loving my Project Life photo album. It's so do-able and fits perfectly into what I want to accomplish with my scrapbooking.

Week of February 27th

This week of my PL album is my very favorite. Not so much because of any design elements but because of the story this week told. Each of the photos and the corresponding journaling pieces all came together to make one big *layout* this week. I reflected a lot about my girls going to a new school + Josey going to high school next year + the girls growing up in general. I also included some page inserts that tied in with my PL elements.
Here's the left side of my Project Life layout this week.
And the right side of my Project Life layout for this week.
I added lots of papers from My Mind's Eye this week. Love pulling out little scraps from here and there. Still using my vintage typewriter too for the journaling cards.
Here's a label punch + coordinating stamp I used for a date block.
Lots of machine sewing and I typed some journaling on a medium manila tag.
Here I used some Papertrey stamps(All About You) and number dies on a journaling card + some punches and scalloped die cut scraps.
One day after dropping the girls off at the bus stop, I went home right away and typed my thoughts on the computer. It made for some great journaling that was very heartfelt. There wasn't much space left over for design elements so I used scraps, another manila tag, some sticker letters....and I also played around with my Mr. Huey spray mists + Papertrey Vintage Buttons.
And a few pages with extra photos + school papers, etc.
Week of March 6

This week was a busy week so I used mostly journaling cards that came with the kit. I fancied up the main date insert a bit with cut out flowers + a Dainty Doily + machine stitching.
Just a few snippets of stickers + sticker alphabet letters here and there.
And one more thing.....I went back to the week of Eric's birthday and added in a few of his birthday cards. I just punched holes with my Crop-A-Dile and stuck them in.
Note: Lately I've been taking lots of photos with my iPhone. I'm able to capture photos of events and places when I don't have my bigger camera. Love + highly suggest. Hope you're keeping up with your PL album. Anything new you've been trying? I'd love to hear!

I've primarily been using my iPhone for PL. The picture quality isn't as good as my SLR but it captures the moment, and that's the point! Love reading your posts, great inspiration!

I am totally amazed by what happened to me while looking at your project life album today! This was the day that I was finally packing mine up and giving it to my daughter. Plain and simple I just did not like it, no matter how many times I tried to do it. Everything about it bothered me. The colors, the sizes, and on and on... I looked at many others and tried to get inspired but it just didnt work. Then poof just like magic your album was the answer!!! It is sooo beautiful and seems to be just what I was looking for but didnt have the sense to know it.I just love it! Thank you so very much!!!!

just learned a photo-taking trick with my iPhone - thought I'd share. I was having trouble sometimes getting shaky pictures. I'd hold my iPHone and get the shot focused/squared and then when I pushed the shutter it would shake a bit. NOW I've learned you can reverse the steps. Hold your finger over the shutter button, square up your shot, bring it into focus and then RELEASE the shutter. Much cleared pictures!! Thanks for sharing your weekly pages Mish!

Your blog has totally inspired me to order my own PL kit! It is coming in the mail Monday, and I can't wait. I keep stalking that mailbox, hoping the mailman will bring it early. I passed the PL word along to some friends, and we are all starting this month! I have taken photos all week and plan to scrap em up this week. I plan to post my progress on my blog! And I am on the lookout for a typewriter to journal. I drool over what you do with yours! Soo, thanks Michelle for ALL your inspiration!

I love seeing how you use PL. What a wonder record for you family now and in the years to come. You inspired me to purchase PL for myself. The kids are grown, so I didn't feel I had much to record, but I look forward to seeing what each day brings. Some days it's people, some days the simple things in my life. TY for sharing and encouraging so many of us.

Thank you! Thank you!
I love reading about some of your ordinary day, it remonds me of when my daughters were little!! I have kinda grown away from my scrapbooking now that the girls are living at college but this gives me an idea to adapt the project for my current life with my two adult(?) daughters running in and out of it!

I love the idea of just punching the birthday cards and sticking them in there...I might have to try that with some of my cards. Thanks for the idea.
