Valentine Exchange Projects 2011

Note: Updates are added at the end of the post so be sure to scroll down.

Edit: I've added a photo of the kit contents below. My Valentine Exchange kits were sent out to ten people who purchased the kit from my Etsy shop. In turn, they made a creation with my kit and emailed me a photo. All of the projects will be shown in this post along with a link to the person's blog. What a fun way to exchange Valentines with my blogging friends. :)
Hi friends, the entries for the Valentine Exchange Kit are rolling in. This is going to be such a fun post. I have decided to add all the entries in this one blog post. I will just update the post as the entries come in. Here is a project I made using some of the kit contents. A big thank you to everyone who purchased a kit and participated in my fun Valentine exchange.

Here we go. Up first is this very striking scrapbook layout by Danielle Gaudet. I love how she added the ruffled crepe paper alongside the photo, then tucked the heart doily underneath. The chipboard letters make for a cute title and the spray mist adds the perfect finishing touch. Great layout Danielle! You make me want to make a Valentine layout!
Here's an adorable card made by Dee Dee Campbell. I love how she placed the y0-yo on the pink heart doily and added a tag with a sentiment. Very cute Dee Dee. P.S. Can I have that vintage scale?
Okay, I'll keep updating as the entries come in. Stay tuned. :)

Back with another fun Valentine from Jean Franks Beck today. I absolutely love how she wove the ribbon through the red paper heart doily. And what a sweet little Copic colored image. I need to show my mom this post, she will love seeing her little yo-yos on all of the projects. Thanks for sharing Jean! Be sure to scroll through Jean's blog, there's lots of eye candy there!

Jean wrote-"I took the ribbon that was tied around the kit and wove it through the edge of the heart doily to create the frame for my two little Valentine cuties (Rogue Redhead Designs), which I colored with Copics."

Back with another darling creation from Katie Skiff. Katie used a glassine sack to create a fun Valentine goodie bag. I love her ruffly crepe paper wrapping around the sack and it looks like she stained the clothespin too. Also notice how Katie adhered the pink paper heart doily to the tag and used it as more of a background, cutting off the edges. Love that lacy look. Thanks for playing along Katie. Are those slim jims int he sack??? My husband would love those!
Today I have another beautiful creation from Mary Vogel. I love her swirly Papertrey stamp and how she layered the two doilies. Very Valentine-y indeed. Mary said *Creating this card reminded me of days when I was a little girl making homemade Valentines with my Mom!* Thanks for sharing Mary!
Here's another adorable Valentine duo by Jennifer Chapin done in true Mishie style. Love that big pink doily front and center on the card. And it makes me smile to see my mom's sweet yo yo again. So cute Jennifer!
Check out what Alicia did with the Valentine Exchange kit. She filled a large mason jar with candy hearts and created a matching tag and card. I really love the red glittered lid and clothespin. Definitely says *Valentine* to me. Thanks for sharing Alicia. You can see her blog HERE.

Just got this cute project from Betsy. She covered a frame with patterned paper and then embellished the bottom with cute items from the kit. I love how the yo yo is tucked behind the cute cupcake embellishment. Thanks for sharing Betsy. On a side note, I'd like to express how sorry I am Betsy for your loss of your sweet, darling Olivia. Your blog is a wonderful tribute to her.

Wow, fabulous projects!! I'm loving this idea!! I have a {friendly} request Mish...I think you should vary the time of day you update your etsy shop. Or maybe the time of day you post to your blog letting us know it's updated? Or something like that. I don't know. I live in Hawaii, so I'm currently 5 hours behind the East Coast. I LOVE the kits you sell on Etsy, and I typically look for new goodies regularly, and usually first thing in the morning - but it seems that every time you've added something new, by the time I wake up here in Hawaii (6:30 am local time) - everything is already sold out!! Not Fair {insert the sound of me stomping my foot and pouting}. So I've yet to purchase one of your kits, though I've been lusting after them for months! I will say I've purchased some of your little gift boxes and a few other items (tags, mini clothes pins, etc) and was very pleased with everything. But I'm going to go right ahead and whine about this. ;-)

LOL, I am laughing at previous comment from Jen. Sounds like me too only I'm in Europe. I got boxes, tags and mini pegs too. But hey I'm waiting on St Patrick Day kit. Hint Hint wink wink.
Thanks Mish for your kindness in sharing your blog visitors.

Yes very much with the first 2 comments...laughed at Jen's sweet comment bless her! Maybe occasionally schedule them in for late am - 2pm your time then we would all get a look in! That probably doesn't fit in with your schedule though but would be fab if only just the once!! Sweet hugs and thank you sharing those cute projects x

Here,Here! I am a teacher and often check at the end of my school day and by then they are already gone! Maybe you could just sit by your computer and add a kit every half hour and then all of us would be happy! ;) No problem ,right?!!
Thanks for all you do!
