Hearts on a vine wedding cards....

It's gonna be a week full of wedding cards on the blogaroonie. I have a teacher friend that needed 10 shower and 10 wedding cards so I've been busy. All of her daughters' friends are at that marrying age, I can remember those days well. It seemed that you were buying a present and going to showers and weddings left and right. It was such a fun and exciting time. When I went to look for wedding stamps, my stash did not scream out *Here I am!*. It seems that we tend to collect more stamps that are versatile in nature like flowers, backgrounds and images that can be used for everyday cards. While I've got some very wedding specific cards coming up this week, today I thought outside the box.
I reached for Pine's Beyond Basic Borders set to create a less formal set of cards that could be used for wedding showers or actual wedding cards. By stamping the vine and adding in some stamped and punched hearts from Heart Prints, I was able to evoke the feeling of love and happiness just blooming all over the place.
For my sentiments, I paired together *best wishes* from Beyond Basic Borders and *now & forever* from Simple Little Things to create a custom wedding sentiment. The insides of the cards read *congratulations*. I also added some sparkly sequins to the vine for a little wedding bling-bling.

So as you're creating those cards for specific events, think outside the box...use what you have...get creative. You can do it! I can't tell you how happy I was to get out Heart Prints again...and here you thought that set was just for Valentine's Day projects. Stay tuned for more wedding cards this week....tis the season!

Thanks for posting this. Great card. I need a shower card and a wedding card in the next couple of weeks. My son's friends are all at the "getting married" stage. Now if I could just find him a nice girl.

Oh these are great, Michelle and I love that they are non-traditional colors like pink and white and black and cream. The vintage soft green and bluey work really really well and you can feel the spirit behind them; just really heartfelt cards.
