Tart of hearts valentine

Edit for questions: For my antique/vintage finds, I just shop wherever I find little stores. I'm always asking the locals if there are any junk shops when we pass through a town. My latest finds were in Paxico, Kansas. I hit shops in Topeka, Kansas too. As for the girls' rooms, I didn't get around to taking photos....and the way the girls keep their rooms is definitely not photo worthy right now. They're little pigs!

Don't you just love Valentine's Day? And is there anything better than receiving Valentine cards in the mail...or in person? I love to send out Valentine cards so I'm working on my stash. Today I used Karen Lockhart's Tart of Hearts stamp. I was inspired by a thank you card that I received that had a square grid pattern all over the front of the card. So I started out by coloring my image with Copic markers and then punching it out, along with some My Mind's Eye patterned paper, with a square punch. I layered the squares onto a white piece of cardstock, then onto a Spellbinder's Square Scalloped Die. I used more of the My Mind's Eye patterned paper for the base card and added a Papertrey Valentine sentiment and some pink sequin stickers.
I embellished the inside of the card with a strip of the patterned paper, another Valentine sentiment from Papertrey and some hand drawn black lines.
Here's a view of the card that shows how glittery and shimmery it is. This particular line of My Mind's Eye paper called Laundry Line is all glittery and embossed, very pretty. I tied in my stamped image by using some Ranger Glossy Accent on the hearts.
Well, Josey just left for a Girl Scout trip to a museum, so it's just me and Jordy. She's dying to do something crafty. I peeked into her room and gave her the *clean your room or we're not doing anything * look. So while she's cleaning (more like playing with something she found that was lost under the mess), I am tidying up my stamp room. I got some vintage finds for my craft room that I need to make room for. Have a great day everyone!

Love the card and those papers. I'll have to try this layout. Looks great with that stamp and I just got that one for Christmas. I love how you made the hearts glossy - so pretty. Have fun crafting with your daughter. :)

Oooooooh show us the vintage "stuff" you got for your stamping room! Love to see all your finds. I would love to find some drawers like you have! Was hoping you'd show the girls' room redos from this summer..did I miss pictures??? Thought you'd mentioned taking pictures when you were done but maybe I missed them.
