Back today with Week 22 of my Project Life. This week I used lots of my handmade journaling cards, especially the ones made with my October Afternoon 9 to 5 products. You can see all the October Afternoon journaling cards that I made in this post.
Here's my 2 page spread for this week. I'll some insert pages to add in at a later date.
The left page. This week marked my brother's birthday who would have been 45 this year. I love that Project Life lends itself to be whatever you want it to be. Here I was able to add in copy of photo of my brother and I from many years ago + a few lines about a memory from our childhood. The right page. More of our day to day life happenings like softball, gardening and my shop stuff. Another thing I love about Project Life is that I can take so many random photos in a week's span but they all totally work together on these two pages. There doesn't have to be fancy layouts or whole pages dedicated to just a few photos. But day by day and week by week, I'm creating this wonderful album about our lives.
Here's a few close ups of the individual inserts. A photo of my brother and I in matching outfits with our birthday cake. A little reflection for me. I also found a little spot to add "Week 22". I think it's kind of nice to add the week in once in a while to see how I've come with my album. This insert uses Studio Calico stamps and veneer, typed label, chipboard letters, Ali Edwards' stamps and October Afternoon 9 to 5 paper.
Here I used a photo that I took at our local Memorial Day service. I used a journaling card made from a previous crafty session.
Here's Charlie in his favorite spot by the fireplace. I used OA paper, Washi tape, typed labels and Ali Edwards stamp.
A kit from my shop with a typed Grid Label from the shop + OA letter stickers.
Another journaling card from my handmade stash + one of the new October Afternoon cards that I recently made.
On the right is my Week in Review card which uses a small manila tag from my shop + some hand stamped letters to spell out "this" and "that". The ampersand stamp is from Banana Fish Studio.
Here I used more of the October Afternoon journaling cards. On the left I used the "notes" stamp that was included in my recent office themed kit in my shop. I'll be keeping that little stamp out to use for lots of Project Life cards. On the right I used October Afternoon paper, a sticker and stamps from Studio Calico.
Here are 2 photos I chose to use of the girls from their weekend softball tournament. I like to find 2 similar poses when choosing from the dozens of sports photos I take. These two photos captured the girls running the bases.
In other news:
I'll be playing a little catch up today, spending some time in my work room on some fun new posts, snapping some photos of some new ideas, and gathering up answers to a few questions. I've been doing a little junkin' so maybe I'll snap a few photos of my recent finds too. Be back soon. :)

Love the softball shots :) and your reflection about your brother. Hugs libbywilko
Love everything about your 2 page spread. Every insert is a mini layout in it of itself and it really inspires me to continue my PL. Thanks for sharing and showing me we can add so much to our pages, like your memories of your brother.
This is just beautiful. I am not doing the project life but I think that this is a great idea. I wish I could get my son to photo pictures daily while he is on vacation in Finland. I would love to do a daily photo for him while he is there.
I thoroughly love looking at these project, been watching a few of you.
