My Mind's Eye button card idea...

For Week 13 of my Project Life pages, I reached for some items from Studio Calico's Versailles add-on kit. I love everything from My Mind's Eye and if I dig deep enough I know I still have some Wild Asparagus papers. They were some of my all time favorites. And now there's all kinds of fun embellishments from MME including these pretty decorative button cards.

The cards are so dang pretty that they are definitely hoard worthy, right? But alas, I do love to use up my supplies so here we go.
I've done this before on cards and layouts but thought it would be fun to share here on the blog today....using scissors, I cut apart the little buttons and elements and include some of the cardboard backing. You can see on the left how I just chopped off the entire bottom of the button card. I loved that curved label look and thought it would be a nice design element on a 4 x 6 insert. On the right I cut out a square piece with a button. I re-tied the button with Papertrey button twine. That cut little tag is from Banana Fish Studio. Here I used another chipboard accent with a piece of chipboard left in tact. I slid the chipboard under a journaling card and tied on new button twine.
And that's it for today's share. Hope you enjoy! I'll be back soon with a graduation card tutorial that shows you how to add small Instagram photos to your card fronts.

Mind's Eye Wild Asparagus! I thought I was the only person who still was hoarding that! Let me guess--you still have a little Basic Gray Figgy Pudding, too? Me, too, except I have more than I am comnfortable admitting, lol.
